GM! As eMudhra fiasco is permeating in the normie tech circles, what's the latest in doing Certificates on Nostr?

Funny, I tried searching on Vinted. All search phrases work, but when I do "grip of death" I get an unexpected error and the app hangs. "grip of" works, "death"
works, but not that full title.

I wonder what happens when you go to a normal branch. Oh yeah, they're likely to not exist or not handle opening accounts.

Velo Bank

2026-09-28 07:36:29 UTC

Dispatch from fiatland. A horror beyond just KYC info.
Decided to park some remaining fiat somewhere with a less insulting rate. Picked the bank with the best offer. Had to open an account. They have three options:
- selfie
- government eID (mObywatel)
- verify via an existing bank account
Rejected the first two. The third sounded like the quick old-school way I used to open accounts years ago.
Turns out it's not anymore. The bastards no longer accept a quick transfer from another bank like back then. Now they demand years of account history from your previous bank via API.
WTF?! Account not opened.

At 1.0, bangers per minute in this is still high. I need to pause and reflect rather often. 🔥

@npub1c87…8avm I just heard of huggingbay.xyz, a Pirate Bay for Hugging Face models. A haven for people fearing Anthropic will now track down uncensored data sets.
You think it's a good use for Napstr with them models being very large files!?

GM! Another cost saving story.
Went to buy a watch for a birthday gift. I was asked if I have their app. I don't. Price is 195 if I register. I asked what's the regular price.
- 270
- No thanks, just today I deleted one loyalty app.
- We can use our phone if you want.
- Right... So, what data do you collect? - Phone, name, birthday, sex, ...
- Um, no, I'll just pay the regular price.
Ackward silence.
I pay 195.
No data given.
So what happened there?

To get your digital boarding pass:
1. Open or download the Ryanair App
2. Sign in to your myRyanair account and find your booking
3. Check in as normal
4. Your digital boarding pass is available in the App
This stupid thing requires my companions to download their very buggy app.
How does it square with kids without phones? Or people
with old phones which don't run their app.
Isn't it against some EU accessibility law?

Unless I'm confused, I believe we chatted somewhere about regulation and self-regulation bodies in Switzerland. And that Pocket was different at the time, but it might not stand for long. Am I wrong?

As @npub1enk…yprj predicted @npub1zv7…82ke and similar solutions did not manage to defend the 1k/day limits. KYC for 1k/month now.
In fact, a harsher commentary is possible here. https://image.nostr.build/fa406532b7ed6545ffab05da7400aa3eb836287d0d639bd8165d933ab1a13fce.jpg
