It was margherita pizza in the small town of Vernazza. The lemon pizza was good too, but the other one will remain in my memory forever. 😋

We were! It was our first time visiting and we all three absolutely loved it. We got home late Saturday night after being gone two weeks, so it’s been back to normal reality since then.

Me, trying to go to sleep 2,000 years ago: “Wait, did I lock the door? I don’t remember climbing a ladder. Or did I? Ugh. Guess I’ll have to get up and check.”

Sorry to post from another social media site, but I’m feeling this white hot rage also. Some Democrats better get their asses to Minneapolis pronto and show some leadership.

Because I’m young and hip and in touch with the latest trends, I recently started watching the 2014 tv series “The Leftovers”. I’m enjoying it other than when Christopher Eccleston is on the screen. His attempt at an American accent is bad, so bad. I thought maybe I was just being overly judgmental, but I did a search online and other people noticed too. I can’t pay attention to what’s happening in his scenes because I’m paying attention to how he’s going to pronounce his words. Anyway, I know I shouldn’t judge because I’m sure I couldn’t pull off an English accent if my life depended on it. OK, that is all, carry on as you were.

A couple of days ago I posted a meme that did numbers and one lady told me that I stole it. I posted an edit to say that I’m sorry I didn’t do a search to find the original meme creator. Later, I just deleted the whole post because I was so annoyed.

Saw this online and it made me laugh.
(Note- I have no idea who created this meme so there’s no need to reply to me and tell me that I’m a thief who is stealing someone else’s humor.)

I had to look at this photo for way too long because I couldn’t figure out why the neck was so long. What I thought was the Adam‘s apple is actually the ankle bone. 😆

We use these when we visit family in sunny Florida and they work great (I paid five bucks). This kind with the indentations for the eyes are good. I could never use the old style that had the material pressing on my eyeballs. It couldn’t sleep feeling that pressure. Anyway, since I invariably need to get up at least once in the night for the bathroom, I’d put the mask on then, closer to dawn. My husband would wear it all night with no problems. At home we have blackout curtains in our bedroom so it’s not an issue.

I was messaging with a friend at work about unusual names and I remembered this. One time my son was getting photographs taken at the mall when he was little and someone had filled out a paper job application and left it on the counter. The name they used was “Seymour Butts”. Later, I decided to check online to see if anyone really did have that name and was shocked to find this. I can only imagine how terrible childhood must’ve been.

That’s hilarious! That reminds me of this incident, which actually got published in the book by Jenny Lawson, “Broken (in the best possible way)”. This was on old Twitter, she asked people to submit their favorite embarrassing moments. My tiny claim to fame:

This happened probably 20 years ago when I was at a grocery store looking for honey. There was an elderly man working the aisle, putting up stock. He saw me looking and yelled down the aisle to me, “What are you looking for?“
I yelled back, “Honey!” But he didn’t hear me and said, “What?” so I yelled “Honey!” even louder. And he replied, “Hello darlin’ to you”. 😂

I was just now looking for a photo and ran across this prescription that I had a few years ago when I had torn my meniscus. Every. Single. Time that I saw the name I read it as, “PENIS AID”- and “Two Pumps Daily”. 😂

Buying vacation toiletries when you're young:
*Sunscreen
*Condoms
*We'll buy whatever else we need when we get there
Buying vacation toiletries when you're older:
*Pain pills
*Antacids (because new foods, usually in excess)
*Gas relief pills (same reason as above)
*Pain patch in case you put your back out
This list based on my real life shopping just now. 😩

I forgot I took this photo earlier today. I have this little digital clock in my bathroom and I had knocked it over and replaced it without noticing it was upside down. So when I went to check the time this morning, it showed “Eh, 11” - something. Which actually told me all I needed to know. 😄

I’ve never found it to be as painful as they always make it out to be in movies and TV shoes. I feel like they exaggerate for comedic effect. 😄

We’re going to replace our 20 year-old gas lawnmower with an electric one, so I keep searching online to try to find the best deal. Men’s pubic hair trimmers keep showing up when I search for lawnmowers (example below), which kind of makes me worried for some of you guys and what you’ve got going on below the belt.

If someone asks you, "What's it like being a parent?", this is it. Insane, random (and funny) behavior from small humans that often leaves you at a loss on how to respond.

Right? I was looking online and it looks like the vaccine committee doesn’t even have meetings about which variants to include until this summer. So obviously it’ll be a while before the 25-26 vaccine is ready. Why would Walmart pull all their stock? It makes no sense.

2025-05-09 19:44:52 UTC

Public service announcement for anyone in the US who might be thinking about getting a Covid booster. Don’t bother going to Walmart or you’ll waste your time. I booked a Covid vaccine appointment for my lunch hour at a nearby Walmart (because it was the closest pharmacy). I waited in line and once I got up to the window, the pharmacist told me that 25 minutes previously they received an email from corporate telling all pharmacies to remove all the Covid vaccine stock in preparation for the updated version. I told the lady, “So you still have the actual vaccines here, right? Let’s just pretend you didn’t see the email yet.” She said the computer system wouldn’t allow her to give the vaccine. She told me to check other pharmacies which I did. I ended up making an appointment at a Kroger pharmacy. I asked when the new vaccine will be out and she didn’t know. I just checked online and there doesn’t seem to be a release date yet. 😑 I swear, it made me wonder if RFK gave notice to pull the current vaccine supply. Nothing would surprise me.
