@nprofile…u4jm thank you for noting this. In the future the aim is to have a running instance of @Medschlr where users can actively post external links to timely information like this, health evidence etc. using #Alexandria’s library features.

Completing Dream Grad Academy’s first @npub17cy…4ml3 diploma cohort this month would not have been possible without the dedicated commitment of @nprofile…tq6l. The eight‑week curriculum was a true learning journey, not only for our students but for us as well.
If you’re unsure where to start with a grassroots Bitcoin educational effort for beginners, I highly recommend reading the article below!
I look forward to building on the lessons learned and connecting with others bringing bitcoin education to their communities.

My key takeaways similar to yours:
User-Centered Design in Academic Systems
"Academics from within the discipline should be included in the design process, so that the system fits their patterns of work, and conceptual categories, rather than being imposed based on some alien categorical scheme."
— James Boyle, "Mertonianism Unbound? Imagining Free, Decentralized Access to Most Cultural and Scientific Material"
This principle extends beyond academics. For MedSchlr to truly serve as a knowledge commons, we must involve a range of users—including the public and the Nostr community—in co-creating features that meet their needs for accessing, understanding, and engaging with health research.
Open Architecture as Innovation Engine
"Wherever possible, design the system to run with open content, on open protocols, to be potentially available to the largest possible number of users, and to accept the widest possible range of experimental modifications from users who can themselves determine the development of the technology. Then sit back and wait to see what emerges."
— James Boyle (citing Eric Von Hippel's work on user-based innovation)
This collaborative approach—combining open access with decentralized protocols—challenges us to question the centralized architecture of existing structures and guides our development philosophy for MedSchlr.

The highlighting feature in some Nostr clients is cool especially when you want to take note of cool ideas and pointing out typos etc.
I’m still learning how to use all the various features, like highlighting. Learn by doing with experimentation and error correction.

Great, I appreciate your feedback once you get a chance to read it. Yes, there is anecdotal proof of people becoming more spiritual. For example, Dr Satoshi, a real physician talks about this on his YouTube channel among other related changes people experience once they start adopting bitcoin in their lives.
I agree that video proofs and documentaries are powerful tools to show the importance and truth about bitcoin. I think we’ll see more productions coming out in the future that will intrigue people to learn more about it.

The article is geared towards those who are in the healthcare field, with the aim to trying to introduce the idea that unsound money may be a factor contributing to health outcomes.
You raise a good point. I think much of mass culture these days has left many without a spiritual compass. However, for some finding better money (I.e Bitcoin) does lead to some sort of spiritual transformation. Perhaps if more people adopt bitcoin there could be an uptick of people finding their spiritual side. But agree that a bigger moral/spiritual void is pervasive in many societies today.

Regarding the acetaminophen question and epistemology, I think another dimension that warrants consideration is publication bias. A major problem is that studies that find null or negative findings don’t even get published. Prada et al. (2025) even mention this as a limitation of their evidence synthesis on the topic.
Therefore if findings of ignored studies often never make it to clinical evidence synthesis investigations or public discourse, could recognition of such help to develop a shared epistemological framework for evaluating medical information in public knowledge commons like the internet and social media?

We are currently working on the @MedSchlr landing page and will start reaching out to nostr users as well as non-nostr users ( i. e. medical and health professionals, researchers, health enthusiasts, and organizations) who are interested in improving open science, decentralization, and scientific peer-review to: 1) start using MedSchlr to help populate the knowledge base by publishing articles, commenting, and sharing relevant works; 2) form knowledge communities of interest (e.g. biohackers, researcher-led ones like peer-review, evidence synthesis, etc.) 2) generate user feedback to help @nprofile…wlyl and @nprofile…c3g8 team identify areas of improvement and features.
Hopefully by the end of September or October we will be able to launch the landing page to start this initial phase of MedSchlr. @nprofile…93wc and those interested in medical and health science knowledge it would be great to have your help in sharing the MedSchlr landing page once it is ready and help spread the word!
In the meantime, feel free to reach out to us by commenting @MedSchlr or on the charter: note1rwmfjt5caawxjgkk9504qkee350xyvgqrh20zy6v09tkrtan2hrs45ked4

First we are aiming to build a knowledge base of health information (peer reviewed articles, blogs, etc). So at first it might be more provider/ researcher oriented (e.g. exchanging ideas on medical and health science publications) but could prove to be helpful for doctor and patient communications around health evidence.

Reading old health texts pre-1900s, some things are so wrong but some observations are so right….
“Fear….It takes from him reflection, power, resolution and judgment; and in short all that dignity and greatness of soul… It has great influence on occasioning, aggravating and producing disease.” - Gunn’s Domestic Medicine (1836)
If we cared to promote health in our environments we would reduce fear appeals in media and take a constructive approach to communicating problems in a way that engenders a sense of agency that we can overcome.
nostr provides a beautiful protocol that allows us to overcome the tendency to stoke fear and exchange ideas in thoughtful discourse. Is it perfect no but it presents a meaningful alternative.
Thankful for all of the developers and content creators who are moving this bright future ahead. Freedom tech helps us move beyond fear.

It can be nerve wracking to share your story and views when it feels like very few people from your discipline or field of study may not see things the same way.
I had the opportunity yesterday to sit down with an awesome podcaster to share some of my thoughts.
I hope to get better at conveying my ideas to contribute to larger conversations on how we can improve health an social well-being at individual and population levels.
Bitcoin as a fundamental socioeconomic base layer provides an opportunity to restore incentives in the health and social sectors. What does health care and associated systems look like on a Bitcoin standard?
I don’t fully know but given the principles of Bitcoin, it brings power back to the individual and necessary goods and services may be more decentralized providing more choice. Also, communities may be able to build better and thrive around their core values.

Accidentally zapped myself not realizing that the zap button on primal is so automatic once loaded with sats. Time to zap three random people to make up for the three self zaps. Learning new tech is fun but also requires patience, experimentation, and error correction.
