I tried to visit the one in Lugano, but I could not find it. I knew that it had been vandalized and thrown into the lake. I read that it had been repaired but it seems not.

Are you a real human being, or an automated feed? I agree with your take on events, and I appreciate your updates, they show a side of things that is not reported in the media. Thank you.

It proved the opposite. Miners follow money. If all of us switched to the BIP110 chain, miners would too. The opposite happened, BIP110 had near zero support apart for some very loud influencers/scammers. The same thing happened with BCH.
Kratter understands bitcoin well enough, and his channel used to be harmless. Then he joined the BIP110 grift and went off the deep end. He is dangerous now because he knows just enough to twist things around and scare newbies into thinking that BIP110 is a good idea. Don't listen to a word he says.
I am deeply worried about the threat of mining centralization, for exactly the reasons you mention - facilitating government control. In times like these I find it best to start by listening to people who have always been honest participants in the bitcoin project - some of my favorites are Chow, Maxwell, Lopp. Lopp tweeted:
> Bitcoin mining centralization is a struggle between economies of scale and the very decentralized nature of energy sources. Over the long run I expect decentralization to prevail.

He does a deep dive here ("A Treatise on Bitcoin Block Space Economics"):

Happy to discuss! 🍻

This video misses the point, that the network is controlled, not by the miners, but by the node runners - i.e. you and me. The supporters of the BIP-110 chain fail to understand that, just as the supporters of BCH did. Centralization of mining is a serious concern. But Kratter is a total whack job, and you should look for the opinion of more trustworthy sources.
Also, any time you hear the term "SHA 256 chain", let that be a red flag to you. It's called bitcoin. Shitcoiners like the BIP-110ers, the BCHers, the BSVers, and others, always try to change the name of bitcoin, so that they can claim to be the true bitcoin. The fact that they need to resort to such deception should tell you something about their motives.
