Buying life insurance is weird. You're like, "I'll bet you $70/mo that I'm going to die, and if I'm right, you give my wife half a mil." And the insurance company is like "No dawg, not yet. We'll take that bet."

Joann Fabrics is going out of business and scammers are taking advantage of people looking for deals. There is a pretty well done fake site, joannofficial dot com, that has a fully functioning catalog and shopping cart. My wife got tricked this evening.

"That's silly. Nobody here would make that mistake."
Given sufficient organizational size, the likelihood of any particular conceivable human error event occurring becomes non-trivial.

Great, you’ve made it into management! Those decisions don’t seem all that dumb anymore, now, do they?

I don't know what any of this means. Did AI write this control?

2025-01-07 01:29:19 UTC

Look, I’m old. I make noises when I sit down and stand up. Why does everyone have to keep asking me if I’m OK?

Opsec is a lot like planting a tree.
The best time to do it was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.
