I have a #GreenParty "Tax the Rich" poster in my window, a mum and teenage-ish daughter (I assume) just walked past:
Mum: tax the rich?
Daughter: yeah!! tax the rich!!

#HousingFirst perhaps puts too much emphasis on housing to solve the challenge, but it does say "first" which implies there are many other parts too.
I'm not convinced there is a universal/clear "first" need though.
If there was I'd be tempted to go for love. #LoveFirst. That's at least what I've been trying to offer people on the street I connect with.
(Also, a bit of money, or buy a couple of bits and bobs in the shop, hugs go down well with the people I got to know more).

Sometimes people say that solving homelessness is easy, just give them homes.
I just found out that a street person I've known for around 4 years has recently been housed, but in the last 2/3 weeks he said he's only slept there for 1 night.
It's a really hard transition. Street life is vibrant, engaging, and sociable (plus many the negative things). Home life is isolated and lonely (plus many positive things).

thanks for the replies! [@fberger](https://fckmsk.social/@fberger ) @npub12sq…6w0r @npub1xse…lgk3 @npub1wvv…yqvy @npub1fys…e3xm
I'm trying out inkscape, although it misses out that collaborative aspect, I get quite used to sharing a link to a pad, or other tool now, rather than shipping files around.
and inkscape has about 92380293x as many features than what I need!
but I think it'll work, thanks! 💚

Is @npub1rfc…7tmz suitable for designing an A4 poster? (for printing)
It doesn't look obviously like it's made for that, but also maybe I'm missing something obvious. I would probably just try an libreoffice tool normally...
Or any other nice open source tools I could use? Doesn't need to be a fancy design...

it's quite a good comparison I think! a place where despite the pretence of being welcoming and inclusive, it's actually a place where misogyny and racism are well and truly alive! 😛
... also both places where much time can be wasted chasing each other around in never ending discussions... ♻️
(also both are a welcome break from corporate monotony)
(I have a love/hate relationship both with ActivityPub and British pubs...)
