being a shorter than avg woman is fucking infuriating, both because being short in a world designed for people many inches taller than you is infuriating, but also so is the reaction of men when i need to be taken seriously & am instead laughed at because uwu so cute

men will whine like little babies about women wearing lots of makeup & getting surgery/filler but then in the next breath mock us relentlessly when we show how we normally look without all that. it hurts, even if we weren’t originally posting FOR YOU. when those are the comments.
like i dunno dude i’ve never been that motivated to get 5000ml of filler and filter myself to shit in all my posts but the second i show myself in normal lighting without filtering or a ton of makeup, all the comments from men are “you look tired” and, ofc, “wear chapstick.” eat shit

i get a lot of shit for calling myself an “aerospace network engineer” rather than just a normal network engineer. i do it to try to head off some of the “why would u want to learn about XYZ this is old/stupid/unnecessary”. it means a lot when someone finally understands.
