Morning, all,
my empathy, sympathy and condolences go out to his family, and to William Chapman himself, who lost his struggle with mental illness in such a painful and public fashion:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3ewegny45jvo
Naturally, his family asked that the traumatic footage not be reposted.
Naturally, this was a red rag to a raging bullshitter, the current holder of the august post of President Of The United States: Donald Trump.
Not only did Donald Jesus Trump repost it, he added insult to injury by posting #AIslop of him besting the tiger.
Trump is mentally ill, and his Cabinet should invoke the #25A. Obviously, Donald Tantrump would likely accuse Natalie Harp of forcing him to post the drivel:

Morning, all,
what happens to pairs of gloves?
I bought a pair in summer, when I figured they'd be cheaper, and put them away in a drawer in my chest of drawers and, lo...
This weekend, I opened the drawer to take out my new gloves for the colder weather and... There. Is. Only. One. Glove.
It's a mystery.

Morning, all,
"Authorities have not yet said whether they will try again to execute Pike."
It is curious that legal systems like America's (and ours) have rules about Double Jeopardy; prohibitions on trying someone for the same alleged crime twice, but no such rules against executing the same person multiple times for the same crime.
One of the fundamental tenets of justice and the rule of law that the Untied Kingdom enjoyed while it was a member of the European Union was a prohibition on capital punishment. We couldn't have resumed hanging prisoners and have remained in the EU.
What does it say about the relative degree of civilisation in Europe and in North America that much of the USA still executes people?

Horrific scenes from Tibet and Nepal, as a glacier collapse triggers flash-flooding of Biblical proportions...
Droughts followed by floods, world-wide; you'd think that the peeps who truly believe that wicked human actions can have terrible effects and disastrous consequences would accept the evidence that unprecedented #GlobalWarming is caused by humans burning fossil fuels and want to do something to combat it.
But no. Donald Jesus Trump, backed by evangelical Christians in America are, in their own terms, "siding with the Devil" and doing their best to bring about the collapse of civilisation.
Careful who you vote for...

Of course, Don Trumpeone doesn't allow a little matter like illegality to thwart his demented ambitions, or his introduction of a fresh wave of 50% tariffs on Canadian goods.
Nor is he happy with the Quebecois wishing to continue speaking French. Donald Jesus Trump would prefer Quebec to speak American English, which was naturally the native language of White Jesus...

Morning, all,
Anyone still awaiting $000s in a windfall check from Don Trumpeone’s White House, paid for by Donald Jesus Trump’s #LiberationDay Tariffs?
If so, I’ve a P. T. Barnum ‘This Way To The Egress’ Sign I’ll happily sell you.
Tantrump’s regime has been required by court order to repay sums garnered by Tariffs the executive had no constitutional right to impose, and so far $81 Billion has been repaid.
The catch? Higher prices for imported goods will generally have been passed on by the tariff-paying importer to the retail customer; are those importers required to pass on the refunds they’re receiving to those consumers? Do they even have the data to achieve that?
One suspects the beneficiaries will not be American consumers but those who own the import firms. Once again, the Capitalist Mantra applies:
“Privatise Profits; Socialise Losses!”

for the owner of a communications company, the excuse that his superyacht's ship's company* weren't listening is possibly not the legitimate exculpation for breaching long-established social custom and the law of the sea that Mark Zuckerberg's apologists seem to think it is.

stop referring to it as President Trump's 'Golden Ballroom.'
It's Emperor Trump's Throne Room.
The American Republic is celebrating 250 years. That's long enough, says Donald Jesus Trump; America's motto will no longer be 'E Pluribus Unum.'
It's not even the Roman Empire's 'Senatus Populusque Romanus,' (#SPQR).

In NotSoGoodish News, forget the Andean strain of Hanta Virus vectored on that Dutch cruise ship, which is unlikely to trigger the next pandemic; far more worrying is the latest Ebola outbreak in the #DRC

Morning, all,
it’s good that #HMG has chartered aircraft to help British “ex-pats”* escape the active war-zone now engulfing the Gulf states. That stands in stark contrast to Desperate Don’s regime, which has sloped shoulders, telling U.S. citizens to find their own way home.

Yet another of the #Nastiz (formerly the Conservative & Unionist Party) defects to #ReformUK.
After 14 years of misrule by the #Tories, the British voters finally said 'Enough is enough' in 2024 and resoundingly threw the whole bunch of chancers out of power and out of Parliament.
Why does Nadhim Zahawi think he is any more acceptable to the British public as a Reform Party UK Ltd candidate than as a Tory MP?

Don't worry, folks...
As Two Dolls Donny didn't actually lay his hand on the Bible when swearing the Presidential Oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution on 20th January (he had his left hand behind his back, with his fingers crossed) that oath doesn't count and he's free to become the Dictator he promised he'd be.

Also, in 'clarifying' his dog-whistling about his #GOP critic Liz Cheney facing a firing-squad, Donald Trump doubled-down, calling her 'a war-hawk who, if she were ever put in the line of battle would be the first to chicken-out.'
Fine words coming from Don The Con, who five times avoided being sent to fight in Vietnam by persuading a doctor that he had disqualifying 'bone spurs.'
Trump does so much projection, he could always find work as a prison cinema projectionist.
