Just ask people to use Monero, explain them why, and...

Chronicles of Zelensky's dictatorship.
In the Kherson region, the relatives of a deceased person had to reload the coffin with the body into another vehicle, because the hearse driver was mobilized right during the transport.

The situation around Polymarket is rather strange... They seem to be under a regulator, and at the same time, when there are some elections in country_X, the regulator screams to "block" them.
It's clear that a VPN even allows an ordinary goy to bypass the "ban."
But at the same time, no one from the regulators is fining Polymarket (or at least I haven't seen it).

2026-10-25 22:10:18 UTC

The most surprising thing to me in 2026 is that Polymarket still hasn't started accepting XMR.

2026-10-22 14:01:18 UTC

- reply

This is not about faith, but purely about one's attitude toward Monero and the current political/financial system.
Exchange it for fiat so that what? Buy a new car with a telematics system that can be remotely disabled? I don't want that.
What interests me more is onboarding people into Monero, helping them understand that the state is a psychopath, and that if they want to preserve their hard-earned money, then XMR is precisely that magic tool.

2026-10-22 13:39:55 UTC

- reply

I won't sell XMR even at 100,000 for stablecoin or fiat. Why? Because it's uninteresting.
What is interesting, though, is onboarding merchants and simply freedom-loving people to buy goods/services using Monero.

Because the state is a psychopath, and those "rules and laws" that the state itself wrote = for suckers who believe in them.
The state itself will break the law as soon as the opportunity presents itself, they'll put you in prison, and then from prison you'll spend decades proving that the state broke the law, and you'll be writing all sorts of democratic things to all sorts of democratic courts, and proving on paper that you're not a camel.
No, fuck that shit. I'm grateful that I have FOSS and GrapheneOS, which I can destroy at any second, and I don't give a shit about their "laws".

Bad idea. Why? Because you shouldn't slide into "non-profit" crap if you want to make such an event successful (not for profit, but for the sake of ethics).
> ? speaker lottery - submit talk proposals, random selection prevents "known name" bias and commercial gaming
Bad idea. Why? A simple example: I see Speaker_1 and a topic in the list of speakers, and it's personally very important to me to hear specifically him, but then it turns out that Speaker_1 won't be speaking. I want to know in advance which speakers and topics will be discussed, and I'm gladly ready to pay for that.
----
I like everything else said above in your post.
For the first event, you could consider the idea of renting a villa in some village in Spain, or several villas next to each other, and making it a multi-week event, so that people don't just listen to "blah-blah about decentralization" but also present their projects, live together, hang out together, go hiking, and so on. 1) Because every state is a psychopath;
2) Where cannabis is legal, it doesn't make that country's state any less of a psychopath, it's just that in this way it "solved" the problems, so that people who consume too much cannabis:
- ask fewer questions of the state
- they are harmless to the state

2026-10-18 13:58:53 UTC

How interesting it is to watch the "peaceful protests by schoolchildren and students in France" right around the time before the election of a new president.
Pure coincidence.
Also, on the other hand, it's funny to watch the accounts on X that advocate support for "right-wing" politicians.
And it's even funnier to watch the European suckers who pay taxes.
----
So that the post isn't completely toxic, I'll add that if you look at the "peaceful protesters" in France, Belgium and Italy, and at how the bastard cops are helpless before a gang of stupid Muslim marginals, then imagine how helpless states are before economically savvy people who can use Bitcoin, Monero, and Ethereum, having good digital hygiene thanks to GrapheneOS, SimpleX, Linux and the rest of FOSS.

The fact that the formatting differs slightly is... well, it could be considered a problem, but not a major one.
The main problem with Nostr reminds me of the situation with Linux distributions more than 10 years ago, that is: there are many different distributions, they all replicate each other by more than 90%, but at the same time, it’s hard to find something that works by default.
That is, there are Nostr clients that don't display articles at all. Not in any way.

I used to prefer Yakihonne, but instead of fixing bugs and improving speed, they went towards changing the UX/UI, and... I've switched completely to @npub17n4…fyh9 for now. (which is fast as fuck!)
Basically, even if you make articles as posts, you'll get 100% display across all clients.
But if you make them as articles, some Nostr clients won't display your content or articles...

2026-10-11 13:15:54 UTC

Is there any point in writing articles on Nostr in article format? What is the current state of article rendering in most Nostr clients?
Or is it still better to write long posts in the standard format?

Thinking of trying NixOS in a VM, fully reproducing my system, and then switching to NixOS.

I'm amazed at how people in the videos can't understand what's going on.
Personally, I don't see a problem with cars, clothes, or devices, because I don't buy junk.

Same here.
The only thing I'm missing in Jungle is the notifications who just followed me.
Do you have some ideas how to make it, @npub1syj…f6wl ?

My dear crypto-gringo-goy,
are you still thinking about Paraguay and the legal 0% on global income?
Paraguay is already a thing of the past! They’ve found you a new paradise where you can live in the jungle free from the state!
If you’ve lived in Paraguay, you’ll be used to:
✅ water that is just as poisonous all over the country;
✅ Dengue, Chikungunya, and Zika that you can still catch if you don't live high up in the mountains;
✅ the "Gringo Tax" culture;

In any of them.
If your car breaks down on a Sunday at 10 a.m., you will be able to find a competent mechanic who will agree to repair your car to a high standard for a slightly higher fee (which is simply impossible in Europe, unless the shop is owned by Ukrainians/Russians/Belarusians), and the price will still be lower than in Europe, while the quality will be higher.
The car is just an example.
