There’s something weird about owning cryptographic keys capable of controlling ₿itcoin and then going to a website and typing Password123! to prove you’re you. We can probably do better than that.

Someday, using a wallet to authenticate to a website might feel completely ordinary. Right now, it doesn’t. That’s usually the interesting part of building early.

Shoutout to the developers actually building the future instead of just talking about it.
AI is changing how we build. ₿itcoin and Lightning are giving us entirely new things to build with.
If you’re a developer who likes experimenting with new technology, come build with Key-Rex. Integrate it.
We want the feedback. ⚡️

Bitcoin isn’t just changing money. It can change how we prove who we are online.

Traditional username-and-password logins have been breached how many times?
Exactly.
Developers need something new to trust.
Key-Rex Lightning Auth brings cryptographic authentication to your website with an integration designed to be as simple as two lines of code, backed by public, auditable code on GitHub.
Built around the cryptographic infrastructure Bitcoin and Lightning give us—without another password database standing between your users and your product.
2 lines of code.
Tested integration.
Free for users and websites.
Stop building authentication around secrets waiting to be stolen.
Trust Key-Rex Lightning Auth.

Most sites still ask for an email and a password.
That’s a database of secrets you have to store, hash, reset, and eventually leak.
We built Key-Rex so a site can authenticate with a Lightning pubkey instead.
❌No email.
❌No password.
❌No account database.
✅Two lines of code.
The user proves they control a Lightning node. That’s the login.
Built for Bitcoin companies and anyone who doesn’t want to become a custodian of credentials.
If you ship web apps and you’re tired of auth being the weakest part of the stack:

Imagine explaining password resets to someone 50 years from now. ‘Yeah, we all made secret words, forgot them, clicked a link in our email, made another secret word, and repeated this forever.

Key-Rex is implemented, and this is what your users can see directly on your website.
One button. Sign in with Key-Rex.
Users click it, authenticate with a supported Lightning wallet, and they’re in—no new password to create or remember.
For developers, it means adding another authentication option without completely reinventing your existing sign-in flow.
For users, it’s as simple as clicking a button.
Authentication doesn’t need to be complicated. ⚡️

Every login system is a security decision.
Make the right decision.

You shouldn’t need to create a new digital identity every time you discover a new website.
Sometimes the website just needs to know:
“Can this person prove they’re authorized?”
Nothing more.

The best piece of personal data to protect is the one you never collected.

Hey! You should check out Key-Rex. We’re building a privacy-first authentication system designed to let users sign in without relying on traditional passwords or unnecessary personal information. I think it could be really relevant to what you’re building.

Developers: we want you building with Key-Rex.
Integrate it. Test it. Try to break it. Tell us what needs to be better.
If you’re building a product and want to rethink how your users authenticate, come build with us.

The internet made a strange assumption very early on:
To prove you should have access to something, you should first tell a company who you are.
Your name.
Your email.
Your phone number.
A password tied to all of it.
But identity and authorization are two different things.
A service may need to know that you’re authorized to access an account.
It doesn’t always need to know who you are.
That distinction matters.
The future of authentication should require less identity, not more of it.
