if someone posts an image/video with a dimension exceeding 8192 and that feed is displayed, gossip 0.14.0 repeatedly panics:
thread 'main' panicked at /path/to/source/gossip-0.14.0-vendor/egui_glow-0.30.0/src/painter.rs:564:9:
Got a texture image of size 10094x3920, but the maximum supported texture side is only 8192

Savings/retirement plans where one needs to reach an age of 95 to get paid back what one paid into the funds. Without any inflation adjustment.

1. Kameras halten keinen Menschen auf.

Only three things are absolutely certain about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies:
The limited supply, the energy that went into mining in the past, and the power of the seedphrase.
The rest is just *almost* certain.

I wish the all factions would all set their differences aside and focus on what's most important: freedom, democracy, human rights - in Iran and everywhere else, too.

Germany, too. over € 2 per liter. Fuel tourism to neighboring countries (especially Poland, Czechia, Austria) is booming.

The biggest threat to something good, is not something bad, but something okay.
Apparently centralized "social" media, as well as centralized "app" stores and closed-source "app"s, are, unfortunately, okay to most people.
I remember from a talk, the speaker asked the audience "Who loves their smartphone? Their google, gmail, facebook, insta, twitter, whatsapp?" - most hands went up. "Who trusts their smartphone?". Few hands stayed up. "Interesting. Love without trust, that's usually an indicator of a toxic relationship."

So is good-quality soy sauce (nothing but water, soybeans, salt, fermented with koji funghi).
My only problem with glutamates is if they're being used to mask severe quality deficiencies or to hide other nasty chemicals in #fiatfood

You can set it to keep running even after you close your browser. It also works on mobile internet or NAT. Or even on VPN.

I don't see any setting to tell gossip to use Tor (or any other proxy), what works for me are netns tricks with veth, bridges and tun2socks and dnsproxy, so all the internet traffic is redirected to Tor by default.

Interesting fact: most of the sugar consumed by most people is probably "hidden" sugar in non-sweet foods (around 20 to 30% added sugar, compared to around 10% in sugary sodas).
Everyone knows non-died sodas are sugar bombs. But who expects savoury foods to be even bigger sugar bombs?
Does Dutch sugar tax have different rates for sweet and savoury foods?
