The state apparatus is attacking privacy coins. Those who tell you otherwise is low IQ.
Pirate chain was exploited today, but it wasnt serious. It was a coinbase bug in v6 - meaning a rouge miner figured out how to mint Arrr. Ironwood is unaffected. All coinbase txs have been checked against dating back several releases before v6 and no other incidents have been found. The devs at Pirate Chain are rigously testing a new release with a rollback of a few hours to be done. The bug was found 4 hours after the malacious transaction. The crew, first mates and captains continuously monitor orderbooks, turnstile txs,, and coinbase txs foe any irreuglarities every day. Im part of the crew and have my own monitors running that i check daily. The more eyes covering the network the better. We also check rouge I2P, tor and clearnet nodes against malacious and suspicious packets.
In 6 months we have seen, Litecoin, Beam, Tari, Firo, Zano, Zcash, Decred, and now Pirate Chain. Monero has survived many attacks as well and these privacy chains are no different.
The NSA fags are working overtime for the Satantic pedos to bring an end to sovereign money.
The time is now to take your money out of banks and cripple the elites who are trying to cripple us. We musr unite in the fight against the ancienr Santanic order and dethrown the once and for all.

This is the problem with Capitalism really. Everybody out to make a few dollars more that you have a security company outsourcing your distribution to a bunch of migrants. Nobody gives a fuck about you or your safety, they just care about getting a hand in your pocket.
Achmed has your ledger waiting for you and something else in store down the road.

Living with unbearable pain day in and day out where each moment you think you are about to die and the prolonged pain doesnt stop. That's torture.
Torture is not, "I had to stand in the hot sun for 2 hours to get the new iPhone. It was such torture."
For those of us who have been through torture, please do not belittle the experience. Use the term appropriately.

the state has agencies and thousands of people deploying AI against crypto, all organized, 3 shifts totaling 24 hours a day, coordianted, scheduled, planned. People sitting in rooms deciding what's next for years to come. Thinktanks using decision trees to plot their future gains of power years ahead of current trends. Meanwhile society is fragmented into islands of individual people all racing to stay updated with no organization, or plan for the future, just current remedies to stay afloat.

Privacy friends: do you ever feel weighed down and get tired from the workload of making sure the things you do are secure and private?
I find it utterly exhausting to that my Bitwarden clients lock after 10 minutes and typically enter the master password at least 37 times daily.
I find it exhausting to have to use a separate VPN on my devices so my online footprint is different for my various alts, even though i have a separate VPN on mt router.
I find it exhausting then when i need to consolidate or swap between coins that I have to open 5 different wallets and end up spending another hour waiting for a swap on BSX to go through.
I find it exhausting that i have numerous different passwords for my laptops and workstations and most online passwords i dont even know as they are created randomly and stored in Bitwarden.
I find it exhausting that i self-host all my apps and have to stay ontop of updates and ssl certificates. It becomes tiresome when i missed an upgrade and things break requring me to have to reconfigure the instance to have it working again just so i can have peace of mind.
Peace of mind. Lol. Thats my excuse for putting myself through such turmoil to remain secure and private.

I 💛 Monero, but I also 💛 Pirate Chain
Why?
When i first heard about Pirate Chain in 2021 i scoffed at it, mainly because of the name. (Dont judge a book by its cover!)
After coming across it more often in 2022 and finally joining the community, i found out the community has the same Ethos as much of the Monero community and i fell in love.
It is worth noting that the Beam community is also similar in Ethos as PC and Monero. I feel at home in this part of the cryptosphere.
Monero has the biggest chance of succeeding, but my philosophy is that we are at war and you cant fight a war with an army of one.

If you are using a password manager such as BitWarden, think about using a spare machine and run a self-hosted server. This way your passwords never leave your LAN.
You can expose the BitWarden server port on your LAN machine by using ngrok (https://ngrok.com). Ngrok now has custom domains for the secure tunnel. This way you can access and store passwords on your safe server at home while you are traveling. I personally don't expose my server outside of my LAN.
It is my preferred solution: https://bitwarden.com/help/install-on-premise-linux/

Awesome. I will subscribe right now! BTW, I'm still kinda new to Nostr. I was using Coracle mostly as my client, but now I'm on Primal. Only thing I don't like about primal is I can't view the relay feeds like in Coracle.
Do you have a suggestion of a good client? Primal is fast and very sleek, but I think it's lacking some of the intricacies of Nostr. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi. yes. I tried to subscribe to your Nostr relay but get the following error after trying to pay for it:
{"error":"Post \"http://monero-wallet-rpc:18083/json_rpc\": dial tcp: lookup monero-wallet-rpc on 127.0.0.11:53: no such host"}
You may want to see this issue where I posted a solution:
https://github.com/pluja/nerostr/issues/6
Also, pluja said he updated the docker images, so maybe try that also. I'll check again in a few days and will try to subscribe. 😃

Are you perchance running a paid Monero relay? I finally got around to subscribing to all the ones on monerica, so if yours is on that list, I will be added shortly.

The PATRIOT ACT can be invoked in any declaration of national security - a very broad reaching definition.
FinCEN is currently invoking the PATRIOT ACT to limit cryptocurrency mixing and privacy both domestic and foreign. This one act alone, passed out of fear mongering after 9/11, grants unilateral enforcement by a non-elected select few.
It is a disgrace. America is not a democracy. It is in the hands of only a few powerful individuals.
I call for the creation of the "The American Institute of Noncompliance" whose sole responsibility is to provide legal council and support for developers who work in the technological privacy implementations and do so via noncompliance with the non-elected enforcement activities of the United States.
I may create this non-profit organization myself.

This "Rulemaking" all stems from the Patriot Act.

Just set up a #Monero paid relay with the wonderful work of pluja
For those interested you can find the Monero paid relay software here:
https://github.com/pluja/nerostr
My relay is similar as before:
xmr.ithurtswhenip.ee
price: 0.01 XMR
To use: head over https://xmr.ithurtswhenip.ee and add your pubkey to the whitelist by paying 0.01 XMR.
The relay is always readable, it just is a one time fee to post to the relay.
Enjoy!
#nostr

Testing my monero nostr relay
xmr.ithurtswhenip.ee
Price: 0.01 XMR
Will keep all the spam out and can be used for the Monero Community and other that wish to have a fast and efficient relay with less spam.
