@nprofile…d6ag I love to use terminology "shit throwing machine at the wall" as it to see what sticks, because that is what it literally is.
Apparently it used energy of few days of small town to try tens of thousands of attempts.
Wow, you have created brute force machine. Now apply that in real life where proper admins have monitoring and fucking blocking any attempts beyond fifth one.

@nprofile…ks6m no one they know uses Mastodon, and they are using social media for feeling good about themselves within circle of attention. If they really cared about social interaction that wouldn't be issue, simple as that.
Mastodon is more than good enough replacement. People just don't use social media for reasons they think they have. When they gonna stop lying to themselves it will be easier.

As last #MissionImpossible two parter wraps up, I have some lingering thoughts.
All pure entertainment aside, both movies are quite a change for the whole franchise. And that is not something you can pin point directly.
Both movies very openly talk about the current state of affairs. And I don't mean factually, but more of a tapestry of information isolation, manipulation, justification of dehumanisation and violence. How disconnected the world is again #movies
