Has this sparked your interest in building out infrastructure in your area? Long range wifi antennas, Lora, local wifi, fiber rings. Etc

I set up rnsd as a systemd service to run on startup then nomadnet —daemon to run as a dependent systemd service to the rnsd one. That way I can serve a page constantly even if I am away.
To access the user tui for nomadnet just stop the nomadnet systemd service and cmd nomadnet to open the tui and go from there

In tmux you can run rnsd and nomadnet

Ugh. That first part came out wrong - I meant to say at a personal level we can achieve the highest degree of unity without having to appeal to denominational divisions

2026-10-23 16:12:01 UTC

- reply

Yeah. I think there are two ways of division I would think through. Interpersonal division like calling certain denominations heretics over some slight difference is wrong. But I think there is merit in institutional separation - institutions can be and will always be captured; they work for a time and then they are defunct. Institutions are not redeemed, people are, so there will be a need to overturn institutions from time to time. Case in point is the mainline denominations who were once the stalwarts of orthodoxy have now wandered into heresy.

Nomadnet
BEACON
Basically Google for searching content on Nomadnet.

Reticulum’s NomadNet is an internet alternative built for low bandwidth. Pages are not MBs they are KBs.
Feels like the old days when the internet wasnt AWS. You dont need even need to open a port to serve your own pages - you can use protocols like i2p to avoid clearnet.
It bridges all network types that you choose : local ether/wifi, Lora radios, TCP/IP (if you want) and some kits allow for BLE, KISS (han radio), everything but pigeons.

Reticulum is a really cool network stack. You should be playing with it if you care about alternatives to censored ISPs
