Since you were talking of God, either prove it or congrats for earning another sin. You probably already know that what you’re saying here could be seen as publicly insulting someone.

It's not about what else he might be doing, which would need to be proven in the first place. It’s about how he argues in this discussion. We’re not here to judge someone as a whole. That’s for God to do. We’re only looking at one small part of the bigger picture.

This service and tech stack are still seriously underrated. If they weren't, you clowns wouldn't all have Anthropic subscriptions. This is actually the perfect setup for us to stay sovereign. You pay for the computing power in Bitcoin, stay anonymous while clanking, and still get to use the most powerful AI models. It's one of the best examples of how to use new tech and bypass the fiat system. It even works on mobile, which actually exceeds my imaginations because I've no clue what I should even do with it on a phone. But better to have too much freedom than too little, right?

If you’d like to translate NoorNote into another language, I’d love to hear from you. I’ll send you a .po file that you can translate using an editor like https://poedit.com/ and send back to me. 2026-10-22 14:00:05 UTC

I mean, Nostr really isn’t for beginners. You need to have some experience as a user. You need to know how to store and keep sensitive information safe over the long term. Your backups need to work and stay up to date. If your computer or phone suddenly dies, you should already have figured out how to keep your personal data safe for years, even if your hardware fails. That takes experience, too. Nostr isn’t really for losers who go, “oh no, my phone broke and I lost all my data”. And I haven't even started talking about using a VPN consistently and stuff.

Un-repost is NIP-09 (real deletion, plus local tombstones against resurrection), show-reactions renders from the existing fetch. No second subscription, just an extra filter for non-followed overrides in the same REQ.

2026-10-16 19:29:18 UTC

The new release is out. It includes lots of little fixes, like reposts feeling faster. That’s why my timeline was flooded with reposts just now. My clanker really went wild on my profile, but I let it, because the undo repost feature is back. It broke somehow, but now it is accompanied by automated tests. Some of you might remember that NoorNote also lets you undo a like. Just tap the like or repost button again to undo it. I know, it takes a little getting used to.
I also added a nice little feature: you can show other users’ reactions on your timeline. You can turn it on for everyone you follow in the UI settings, or set it individually from someone’s profile.
It’s completely optional in NoorNote, unlike Twitter and other clients, where the algorithm pushes it on you. It’s also useful for discovering new users, since you can see who someone interacts with.

NoorNote v.1.9.0 is out! Relay handling is improved and much gentler now, and a new RelayRateLimitGuard.ts does a better job of listening when a relay says, “Whoa, slow down!” What does that mean for you? Profile pages, DMs, and notifications load much faster. And less chance of getting banned by a relay.
There’s also better support for zap.cooking events (see long-form article editor and pulldown at the third layout column), along with lots of bug fixes and improvements.

Proton says:
“On Friday, October 2, 2026, an issue with Apple’s developer program caused Proton Mail for Mac and Proton Meet for Mac to stop opening on macOS for some users. In some cases, macOS also incorrectly flagged them as malware.”
That’s obviously not true. It was an error on Apple’s part. But Apple treats it as settled fact: the app gets sent straight to the Trash as soon as I try to open it. I can take it out and get it working again, but it just ends up back in the Trash every time.
What unbelievable nerve. If you’re going to be so damn overbearing, Apple, then at least make sure you’re not making a mistake, because now you just look like complete assholes.

And because so many people think that way, clankers’ frontend skills are screwed.

2026-09-27 16:36:30 UTC

Most frontend problems usually come from making something more complicated than it needs to be. Keep an eye on your clankers, especially when they start defining everything as a flexbox. You don’t need flexbox. Flexbox is obsolete. But agents have a really poor understanding of frontend development, and their learning stopped just before CSS Grid.

Follow and muted lists are automatically there wehn you follow or mute people. Bookmarks and Tribes need to be activated in the Addons first. After activating bookmarks, you'll see a new bookmark icon in every note and in the 3-dots-menu (also in Marketplace products or other stuff).
Tribes is something different. After activating it, you create a folder (=category) and add people (npub) into it. Then you get an alternative timeline consisting only of the posts of the people in that Tribe folder.
All lists are not sharable atm. But I guess, you expected something different under "lists", right?
