I'm seeing several of this every day. Compared to, uhh, 0 legitimate signups on average.
PSA: if the "reason to join" your instance looks like someone's profile bio, it almost certainly is, and it's a spam signup.

Well shit, looks like we're now getting straight up copy-pasted bios in addition to the usual "excited to join" slop. Good thing I went ahead and asked the alleged account owner for confirmation. Would rather never have to do that again, so

If you moderate your signups, you should probably add something of the sort too, before you also have to spend time proving*someone else* is/is not a robot.
