If you run Bitcoin Core, you should upgrade. Fixes for the following have been released in Bitcoin Core versions 29.5, 30.4, 31.2, and 32.1:
- Slow unbounded memory growth on paused pre-BIP31 peers

- Unbounded memory growth through TCP urgent data on non-Linux systems

I wasn't quite satisified with the Lightning invoice decoders out there so I built my own: https://decoder.zeusln.com
It supports BOLT 11 invoices, BOLT 12 offers, LNURLs, and lightning addresses. As a bonus there's a tool to verify that a preimage belongs to an invoice.
Everything is decoded and kept in your browser so your information stays private. ZEUS collects no data.

I believe it's selected randomly. You may be able to pick which one is disabling the LSP and manually selecting your routing hints, but not 100% on that.
That being said, it doesn't really matter as you automatically can spend out of both channels at the same time in a single payment out.

2026-08-27 18:29:30 UTC

- reply

If there's not enough capacity of if your node disconnects from the LSP momentarily, that can happen, but it will always highlight the channel fee in the modal above the invoice QR

We're doing surgery on the node right now. Should be operational tomorrow.
Remember, though, it's self-custodial. You can always force close the channel. That being said we'll probably be back online before the timelock expires, so it will be quicker to just wait for us to be able to spend freely.

The macaroons.db and individual macaroons can be found in your LND data folder. Delete them all, then restart the node.
Alternatively, you can run the following to invalidate all previously created macaroons:
lncli changepassword --new_mac_root_key
If auditing, list all macaroons with:
lncli listmacaroonids

🚨PSA for LND + BTCPay Server users🚨
Don’t assume you’re safe after upgrading.
You’re going to want to explicitly destroy your macaroons and macaroons.db and recreate them fresh. This also applies to auth mechanisms for other LN backends.
Also, if you generated a hot on-chain wallet in BTCPay you want to move those funds.
