Great find! I visited their site to try to get some social media account details but think I only noticed LinkedIn(?). Didn't see this link so thanks! I'll keep posting for those that are interested but don't want to order their own.

Finally dug this pack of cards out of my drawers at work. A free give-away, given to me from a colleague who attended an IT conference. I think they are a great idea to be honest. Considering I cant see them active in the Fediverse but they state they want to raise awareness of cyber security terminology, I'll assume they wont mind me posting a paring each day. Happy to remove if they ever contact me. I'll see if I can keep all of these in a thread so people can just scroll through. #cortida

I cant remember where I saw it mentioned but I finally got around to installing Wanderer & it is 'AWESOME'! Hosted on my local server (alongside Immich for my photos) this is exactly what I've been looking for for a very long time! Years of OrganicMaps/CoMaps trails along with historical Strava (& maybe 1 or 2 Komoot trails) can now be backed up & stored locally. Tested a few GPX imports last night & it just works! Cannot wait to get editing & adding details/photos. #wanderer #Immich #selfhosted

Hi. FWIW: If you don't already know, FreeTube (installed on my Linux machines but available cross platform) and Newpipe (Android platforms), exist, should you want to bypass adverts. https://freetubeapp.io/ https://newpipe.net/

Fair enough. I'm pretty sure he has one (or two) and has made videos on his ownership of them and what they are like to have as daily drivers, not just about the specs. Still, good luck with your search.

Hi. For what its worth, LTT have several videos on the Framework brand that might help you decide. I think this is the latest. Good luck! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lErGZZgUbY

With regards the Android going private bit, you may have channels/chatrooms already discussing all this, but if not, does this have a knock on effect with GOS? I'm no developer (as you can probably gather by my question!) but I'm hoping this doesn't negatively effect your development of GOS going forward?

I've not read this thread to be honest but I spotted vegan cheese being mentioned so should it be worth me jumping in, Tyne Chease is worth a shout, a bit expensive but thought I'd mention it. I've bought Nutcrafter cheese before, several years ago but I think they might have gone out of business now (their site seems to be an MMA related site now). Anyway, good luck 😊 https://tynechease.com/

is Geany a basic text editor? If so, Obsidian maybe overkill for your requirements but I have used it before and pretty sure it supports markdown. I havent used it in a while though as you can tell. Let us know what you find as a suitable replacement, I can then add to my recommendations list if anyone else asks your question 👍

Encroyable! Great work in promoting OSM 👍 Used it (again) today for a half hour drive and only realised about an hour later my mobile data wasn't actually turned on. My Organic maps app had my journey local, with zero issues getting where I needed to. Pretty sure Google/Apple maps don't work offline. Ne pas s’arrêter 😊

Freedom. The freedom to choose to install whatever Linux distribution you want to (or make your own) and to do whatever you want with it on your own devices. The ability to take onboard the worlds recommendations as to why and how they use their particular distro, then empowers you to make your own mind up about what you would like to use.

Having watched @npub1rmw…px3u video on Obtainium ( @npub1s7f…z0n0 ) a little while ago, it's now my default way to install all apps on my Pixel ( @npub1kwa…e0nj ) phone. Organicmaps.app
( @npub1fkd…85ac ) however is the first site 'I' have noticed promote it as one way to install their app (alongside the usual cohort of course). Cool! Big up to all those involved in the above accounts. Your hard work, dedication and graft is appreciated by many!
