I may have missed the boat, wanted to do video games too when growing up, but when it came to making career choices everything was going to shit in the video games industry here, heaps of people laid off, local studios closing etc
I do hope we have a revival of the games industry!

just block the zeroes.ca instance, these kinds of comments are to be expected from there. It's not a healthy place.

fine only applies after they give you a legal notice that it needs completing (which would come after a few warnings too I assume)

it might depend on when you log on -sometimes more skilled players will be playing at a certain time. I always found that when I used to play ranked Halo, it was always when the Asian countries' peak playing period started that I would get absolutely wrecked, but at other times I would dominate. Could be the same in chess!

Does anyone have a trick or tool or special chemical that makes cleaning bad hard water stains on shower glass easy?
Brisbane has the hardest water of any capital city... there are so many 'helpful' comments on the internet that are just like use vinegar and so and so.... but that shit doesn't cut it here, nor if you leave it too long
Will give extra weight to comments from my Brisbane friends who also deal with this

I've only dabbled in ruby, but I've done years of OSS work... my only feedback is patience, the wheels of open source turn slowly. Given it had been attempted before, the issue is more complex than it seems, so it could take a while. But a PR attempt as you've done is usually the biggest motivator. Second biggest motivator is adding a failing test showing the bug, that the PR fixes. But you've already done heaps, I'm hopeful the right person will see it soon

interesting, do you reckon there's a way to include height data into the visualisation somehow? Eg I am directly under the Heathwood line, but I barely hear them because by the time the planes are out here they're much higher in the sky

yeah it's the best way to deal with this problem if stuck with it and it works until inevitably needing to draw from the bigger account - then losing the interest for one month from the big account. Doing the maths, this is a bigger hit across the year than just going with a no strings attached saver account at a guaranteed lower rate that applies to your entire savings (this is why I have switched to Macquarie @ 4.5% and avoided these 'grow' type saver accounts lately)

same here, replacement battery made it a new vacuum. They're a little pricey but still worth it (though haven't checked prices in years)
I wish they didn't require a screwdriver, I would love to be able to have them both charged and quick swap mid vacuum

I know the onus shouldn't be on you, but one thing that has helped me is getting some Loops earplugs. I can sleep with them in, particularly helpful on garbage truck days where 2 trucks drive very close to my window like 4 times each

that's feels like a bit of a strawman, there's a lot of options to retaliate with that aren't equivalent to taxes on everyday goods. We could drop aukus for example.

Need some electrical advice from the fediverse. Ceiling fan capacitor is kaput (will run fine when I give it a push, but won't start on its own). So I need a replacement capacitor, but this one is very strange: it has a single capacitor rating (1.5uf) so I would expect only 2 terminals, but it has 3 terminals (1 red, 2 blue)! All the 3 terminal replacements I find are _dual capacitors_. I am having trouble finding a replacement because of that. Anyone know what I could replace this with?
