well, the stable version has 2021 in its name, the nightly build 2026. Tough decision. ;)

You mean OpenSCAD? It's version 2026.04.26 (git b38f6888), why asking?

I’m currently swamped with the usual last 20% at work (#ParetoPrinciple). Still, I’ve managed to find a quick moment to make some progress on my rather complex new 3D model. #OpenSCAD #3dprinting

I am now used to writing OpenSCAD code directly, too. I do it in VSCode and created a lot of utility functions and/or modules. I don't feel the need for a precompiler.
And I agree with Kyle, it's fun!

Yes, I understand that, and you've built up an enormous library.
For aesthetic reasons, however, round tubes are very attractive, if only they could be printed better.

Working on some common and some special #Skadis hooks for my #IKEA #pegboard again with #OpenSCAD for #3Dprinting
Does anyone have any recommendations on the best way to position round rods parallel to the print bed?

Here's my #wrapstodon 2025. I guess #OpenSCAD was a topic for me. Nice feature, maybe it will inspire me to be a little more active at here at toot.community

A profile picture has several functions. If you are such a famous social media type, you might be afraid of losing your followers. On the other hand, if they only followed you because of your profile picture, what kind of people were they? ;)
On the other platform, let's call them X, :P, you can make a poll and let people vote. Maybe that works here too?

You really expect a lot of answers here on Mastodon? I think the more up-to-date the picture is, the better, because after all, that's exactly who you are right now.
On the other hand, once I feel comfortable with a profile picture, it's hard to change. But Apple's comic filter helps a lot ;)
