I normally post more serious posts, but for some reason, I found this really funny. Sometimes, when everything around you seems to be falling apart, you just need to laugh.

FYI, after scheduling this post, I read about King Hezekiah’s response to Taunting by the Rabshekah of Assyria, who blasphemed the God of Jerusalem. It fit this post well, but was hard to force into the flow of the article. I am including it here (with a few parts removed to make it shorter) as an example that supports what was written above.
And when King Hezekiah heard it, he tore his clothes, covered himself with sackcloth and entered the house of the Lord. … They said to him, “Thus says Hezekiah, ‘This day is a day of distress, rebuke, and rejection; for children have come to birth and there is no strength to deliver. Perhaps the Lord your God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which the Lord your God has heard. Therefore, offer a prayer for the remnant that is left.’ ” So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah. Isaiah said to them, “Thus you shall say to your master, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me. Behold, I will put a spirit in him so that he will hear a rumor and return to his own land. And I will make him fall by the sword in his own land.” ’ ”
… he sent messengers again to Hezekiah saying, “Thus you shall say to Hezekiah king of Judah, ‘Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you saying, “Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.” Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the lands, destroying them completely. So will you be spared? Did the gods of those nations which my fathers destroyed deliver them, … ?”
Then Hezekiah took the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went up to the house of the Lord and spread it out before the Lord. Hezekiah prayed before the Lord and said, “O Lord, the God of Israel, who are enthroned above the cherubim, You are the God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. 16Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see; and listen to the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God. Truly, O Lord, the kings of Assyria have devastated the nations and their lands and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were not gods but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone. So they have destroyed them. Now, O Lord our God, I pray, deliver us from his hand that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, O Lord, are God.”
Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah saying, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘Because you have prayed to Me about Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard you.’ (2 Kings 19:1,3-7,9b-12a, 14-20) {emphasis mine}
Hezekiah laid the seemingly impossible situation before God, prayed for help, and left the result to God. Because Hezekiah prayed, rather than trying to do everything himself, God heard him and answered his prayers.

There is a bad grass fire near our house. For a short while it seriously threatened our house. (Scary since we lost our house to a similar fire 10 years ago). I think the real threat is gone, but it is still blowing east, so please pray for the firemen and the individuals and homes in its path.

Sorry I was slow responding to your post. I've been crazy busy lately, and I didn't want to just throw a response without thinking more carefully about how I wanted to respond.
I have read some portions of the Quran, but not all of it. I don't want to be offensive, but I do want to be honest with you. When I read from the Quran, it seemed inconsistent. Some parts seemed almost like a sect of the Jews, while other parts seemed to hate and despise both Jews and Christians. It almost felt like it was written by two or more minds that didn't agree.
When I read the Bible, it is one coherent whole. The whole of the Bible agrees. It is a coherent history and explanation of God that is consistent with itself and with reality. The Bible truly is the world of God.
If I am not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong), Islam does consider the Bible to be from God, but consider the Quran to be above and beyond the Bible. The Bible says:
"I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel, which is not just another account; but there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, even now I say again: if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!" (Galatians 1:6-9)
The Bible tells us that we cannot listen to anyone who teaches a different path to God and heaven than what is written in the Bible. Even if an angel gives the new gospel, it is accursed. Muhammed was not taught by an angel from God. The angel that came to him taught a different gospel and the Bible says that anyone teaching a different gospel should be accursed.
You definitely shared some nice verses (not sure if the same term applies for the Quran), but I do not believe they came from God.
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)
There is only one path to God,--through the Lord Jesus Christ.
May God call you to Himself and help you to see the true God and the true gospel, so we may meet in heaven some day. God bless you.

It broke my heart last night. We had 2 women come into our dealership to buy a side-by-side. They had a 4 year old child with them. They referred to the child as theirs, so we are assuming they were a lesbian couple. One time they referred to the child as she and one time as he. They seemed to mix up genders. The poor child is being used and abused and not taught reality. I wanted to cry.
It is a good thing they had already left when I heard the details. I would've been tempted to reprimand them for their mistreatment of the poor child.

As a general rule, I don't think we need to go to war with other nations and act as the world's policemen, but I do feel that after Trump said for the people to revolt and that America has their back, it is horrible to go back on his word. Tens of thousands died because they trusted that he had their back.
I've also heard a stat that >60% of Iranians want to be invaded by the US or Israel because they hate their Islamic rulers. Although the Iranian leaders claim 98% of the nation is muslim, less than a third even attend the mosques. The nation isn't as muslim as most people think.
I would've preferred the US stay out of it, but allow Israel to attack if they wished, but since Trump promised to support them, I lean towards rescuing the Iranian people from the tyrannical leaders. I do however wish Trump had not made a promise.

Our whole yard is fenced, so our dog can roam the yard. When we leave and the dog won't be in the yard, we hook the gate open with a rope around a t-post. Last night, it was so cold, when I unhooked the rope, it stayed in the exact position it had been around the t-post.

God is eternal and everything that exists was spoken into existence by Him in 6 days. Denial of Him has dire consequences. It is not enough to believe in a deity out there. Repentance and belief that Jesus is God, who came to earth as a man, lived the perfect life that we cannot, took our sins upon Himself, died, and then rose again on the 3rd day conquering death and sin are a requirement for eternity in heaven. All those who fail to repent and have faith will spend eternity in hell. We don't get to pick what we believe and still go to heaven. Truth is truth. Right is right.
Sorry if this sounds heavy handed, but I speak the truth because I want the best for you. Things around the globe are aligning with the prophecies in the Bible and I don't believe we have much time left. It could be a couple decades, but it could very easily be this year. I don't want anyone to go to hell if there is anything I can do about it.
Wishing you the best.

I'm jealous of your rain. We haven't gotten hardly any snow or rain this winter and it has been very warm for Wyoming. This year's fire season is going to be really bad and officials are already quietly talking about major water rationing this summer. I'm praying for one of our insane spring snows (once every 3-10 years) where we get 2+ feet of heavy, wet snow.
I'm also a bit sensitive about fires, having lost my home in a 60+ mph wind fueled fire just over 10 years ago. We did rebuild very fire resistant. Brick and steel outside, steel roof, steel garage door, cement decks and side walks. I wanted a moat, but that wasn't practical.

The only thing I use it for is as an advanced web or Bible search. For example, I remember a Bible verse on a subject, but can't remember the wording well enough for the normal search to find it. Perplexity.ai finds it. I then go back to my Bible and use it how I want. I also use an AI program, Pro Writing Aid, to recommend grammar, spelling, or occasionally wording fixes. I don't let it write or edit for me. It makes suggestions and I accept, ignore, or make a different change than the one suggested. It is useful for both, but I never blindly take AI's suggestions or answers.

I've found that taking the following really helps me not to get sick:
10,000-20,000 IU Vitamin D3 (Works best if you also take Vitamin K2 and Magnesium. The K2 puts calcium in your bones and teeth instead of letting D3 put it in your soft tissue. Magnesium activates the D3. All 3 work with Calcium, which I take as well). If you are getting lots of sunlight you might make do with 5,000 IU, but most people, especially in the winter, get very little sunlight and therefore don't make Vitamin D. If your levels are low, a loading dose of 30,000 IU for a week can quickly raise your levels. Most doctors aim for blood levels of 30-80 ng/ml, but that is because of a misunderstanding. When testing for overdoses, it was found that a person could overedose at 300 ng/ml (and that was without K2, so probably could go higher with K2). The researcher then arbitrarily recommended <100 ng/ml. Doctors then saw 100 ng/ml as the danger level and started recommending 30 ng/ml (barely above level for ricketts). Natural doctors have recently raised their recommendations to 50-80 ng/ml, but that is probably still low. I recommend blood levels of 80-120 ng/ml, but I've gotten just over 150 ng/ml and that was the most illness resistant I've been. If you regularly take more than 10,000 IU, it is a good idea to get a blood test because different people absorb it differently.
15-30 mg of Zinc (You need Quercetin or another Zinc ionophore to get it into your cells. Also, high zinc can hurt copper metabolism, so taking a little copper is good. I take Zinc Balance that has both in the right proportions.)
1500-3000 mg of Vitamin C split into 3-4 doses throughout the day because it is water soluble and doesn't stick around too long. 500 mg 3x/day is pretty good. Optimally, increase doses until you get loose stools and then reduce by 500 mg. You may need more than usual when you are sick.
Either using a neti pot nightly or using Xlear nasal spray 1-2x/day can also clear out viruses from your nasal passages before they have time to get established. Daily is best, but using one of them the moment you get a hint of sniffle or tickle in the back of the throat can work, if you truly use them the moment you might have a hint of something. It is less effective if you wait until you are actually sick.
This routine has helped me to almost never get sick. I started in 2020 because of Covid and continued because it stopped everything else as well.

It really isn't, but people who don't want to accept a higher authority like to overlook all of the logic and evidence supporting it. The supposed "science" used to "debunk" Christianity requires greater faith and greater suspension of logic than does believing the Bible literally.

2026-02-03 22:24:23 UTC

- reply

Yes, our experience can be spiritual or intangible, but God is not the author of confusion. When His word is written, it is logical and a literal and physical thing is not a parallel to a spiritual and intangible thing. When reading/writing something, it makes more sense that both pieces are meant in the same manner. If you can make it mean whatever you want, then it doesn't mean anything at all.

I have a difficult question for my fellow Christians. After Satan tempted Adam and Eve to sin, God spoke to Satan:
“And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her seed;
He shall bruise you on the head,
And you shall bruise him on the heel.” (Genesis 3:15)
The woman’s seed is Jesus, who is a physical descendant of Eve through Mary. I had always taken Satan’s seed to be people who rejected God, but if Jesus fulfilled literally and physically the prophecy of Eve’s seed. Is the seed of Satan a literal and physical descendant of Satan? Could this refer to the Antichrist and could it indicate that the Antichrist is a nephilim?
I don’t know the answer, but I do take God’s Word seriously, even when that is uncomfortable and contrary to what I believe or what I want to believe.

Of course we need to correct lovingly and with the goal of bringing them into a right relationship with God. We also have to make sure any correction is in complete alignment with the Bible. Correction also rarely works if our own life isn't in alignment with what we teach, hence the continual complaint about Christians being hypocrites.

I’ve heard a lot of people question how they can be happy in heaven knowing that friends and loved ones are experiencing eternal torment in Hell. I’ve not had a good answer, but was leaning to believing that when we experience God’s absolute majesty and holiness, we will agree 100% with His judgment and the feeling of righteousness will overwhelm the feeling of sadness.
Although I think there is some truth to that thought, this verse has made me think that isn’t the whole story.
“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.” (Isaiah 65:17)
Scripture says that “he former things will not be remembered or come to mind.” It looks like one reason we will not be sad is because we won’t remember our sin, hardship, loss, and those who are not with us in heaven.
Keep reading the Bible. There is always more to learn

I've been reading through the Bible in a year (in addition to other miscellaneous study) for between 20-30 years and reading daily for about 40 years. This year I'm reading a chronological Bible (for the 2nd time) and using an app on my phone that has a morning reading and an evening reading that includes mostly chronological text from the Old Testament and related text from Psalms and/or the New Testament. I generally prefer a print Bible and have started making notes (which causes me to get deeper and to note related texts), but the app is also working for me. It will allow me to read through twice, but mix it up more every day.
It is funny, most things you read, you lose interest when you read it again and again, but with the Bible the interest grows and grows especially as you start to really see the big picture and how all of the parts relate and clarify each other.

I just ordered a proof book for my second book "Joy in the Storm: Growing my faith in a very good God."
I've had the book written for a year, but editing and formatting took a long time since my editors are working for free and I've been too busy, for the past 6 months, to do the formatting. When I finally did, I had some major problems. There must have been some ghost character that was locking up my book editor.
It feels really good to be at this point. I'll let everyone know when the paperback and when the ebooks are available.
If anyone DMs me their email and zaps 100 sats, I can email the .mobi or .epub version to you. Offer good July 2025. (at least good for the first 10+ requests. I don't want to get a massive quantity and cause myself too much work, individually emailing everyone.)

I don't believe there are any creatures from space visiting our planet, but there is something going on. I'm sure some are hoaxes, some are governments doing things they haven't admitted, but some are demons (effectively extra dimensional beings). I think we are seeing more activity because we are approaching the end times and alien abductions will be used to explain away the rapture of the church.

Too often people assume knowledge and education equate to wisdom, but they don’t necessarily have much correlation.
A rough definition of wisdom (or at least how to attain it) is:
Wisdom = God + knowledge
If a person has only knowledge, but rejects God, He is the greatest of fools. If he has God without knowledge (especially knowledge of God and the Bible), then does he actually have faith in the God of the Bible or is it only faith in a god of his own creation and likeness?
We all need God and knowledge. Reading the Bible is one of the best ways to gain both.

I was reading in my Bible about Jesus’s appearances after His resurrection and saw a connection to Genesis.
“And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” (John 20:22)
and
“Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:7)
In Genesis, God breathed life into man. In John God breathed life into the church. Jesus is God and He gives life by His breath.

I was just reading in my chronological Bible about the crucifixion and saw something I’d never noticed before that started me thinking. John 19:25 says, “ … standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother, and His mother’s sister, …” Jesus’s aunt was at His crucifixion. The Bible talks about Mary, Joseph, and Jesus’s brothers. It talks about Elizabeth, a more distant relative. I think this is the only mention of anyone from Mary’s home growing up.
Did Mary tell her parents or sister about being visited by and angel and told she would mother the Messiah by the Holy Spirit or did she remain silent because it was so unbelievable? When she became pregnant, did she then try to explain to her family, but get rejected? Was Jesus’s aunt ever around when Jesus was growing up, or was her first appearance due to her feeling bad for her sister who had previously lost her husband and now was loosing her eldest son in the most horrific way?
In the whole scheme of things, these aren’t critical questions, but it still tells us something about what Mary went through having a child out of wedlock, seemingly through sin.

If the people you are talking about believe exactly what you wrote, then they are wrong, but there is some truth in it. The blessing and cursing comes from Genesis 12:3 "And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” The verse doesn't refer to salvation, but attacking or treating Israel as the root of all evil would probably fit in with the curse of this verse.
In Daniel 9 "24“Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place. 25So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. 26Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined. 27And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.” it talks about 69 weeks, then the Messiah and then 1 week (7 years). This prediction is about Israel. It was exactly 69 X 7 years from the declaration of Artaxerxes to Jesus riding into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. Then there is a break in the history of Israel with the creation of the church. The church age ends at the rapture of the church.
(1 Thessalonians 4) "16For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord."
Then the final week of Israel happens which is the 7 year Tribulation. Lots of verses suggest there will be converts to Jesus during the 7 year Tribulation, meaning there will be new Christians (Jew & Gentile) during this time and many (most?) will be martyred.
At the final coming of Jesus, of those still alive (50% or less of the population at the beginning of the Tribulation since two of the judgements are 1/4 and then 1/3 being killed) Jesus will judge those who are still alive in the sheep and the goats judgement.
Matthew 25 says, "31 “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. 32All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; 33and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world."
At the final coming of Jesus, the Jews that remain will come to know Jesus as Savior. (Luke 13:25)"Behold, your house is left to you desolate; and I say to you, you will not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ”" (There is another verse that says it even clearer, but I can't remember it at the moment.)
Like so many things people say about Jesus and the Bible, there is some truth, but many people take a truth and stretch it in one direction or another. Saying "Israel is our way of Salvation" is totally wrong, but also saying, "Israel is no longer important" or that "Israel is the root of evil" is just as wrong.

Doing good things doesn't get you saved. There is no amount of good works we can do to get right with God. One bad motive or bad action destroys all of the good we've ever done. Our only good is what Jesus has given us when we trust in Him. Doing good things is what should be the result of salvation. We should be so grateful for what Jesus did for us that we give our all to Him.
It is true that only God knows the heart and who is really His. I suspect there will be some people in heaven that we didn't expect to see and some who aren't there that we expected to be there.

2025-06-08 22:33:01 UTC

I guess we can summarize this as tell the truth in a loving way.
Some Christians tell the truth in the most offensive ways possible. Some Christians refuse to tell the truth because they fear the truth might be offensive. Jesus told the truth and never withheld it, but He told the truth with love. We need to do the same.

The Trinity is spoken of throughout Scripture, but it takes looking at lots of verses to fullly see it. In Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image...' ." God refers to Himself as plural, the first reference to the Trinitarian nature of God.
In John 8:58 "Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.”" When He said "I am" he used the double "I am" that was identical to the Septuagint translation of the Old Testament and used when Moses asked who to say had sent him. Exodus 3:14 "God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” "I AM" is worded as two different phrases that mean "I am" combined together like "I am I am". This phrase was only used to mean God, which is why the Pharisees immediately sought to kill Jesus for blasphemy.
This website has some verses that support the trinity. Most are specifically verses that mention all three together. https://overviewbible.com/trinity-bible-verses/
This is also a good article on the trinity from an organization that I trust. I'm recovering from illness, so I'm not fully coherent yet. I'm still dealing with brain fog. https://www.cru.org/us/en/train-and-grow/spiritual-growth/core-christian-beliefs/understanding-the-trinity.html

When Jesus died on the cross, the curtain before the Holy of Holies was torn in two, from the top to bottom, by God. He removed the separation between the common people and Himself. He said it was no longer necessary to go through a priest to approach God. We have direct access. Sadly the Catholic church leadership has slowly been rebuilding that separation from God.
Like so many human organizations, the people who seek leadership tend to not be those who believe in the mission of the organization, but those who seek power. Slowly, over time, the Bishop of Rome took onto himself the authority of Pope,. and relatively recently (forget the dates because I'm terrible with dates) took on ultimate authority for himself. The corruption in Rome is massive and many (most?) of the leaders push unbiblical principles and even focus more on cultural/political subjects than on biblical ones.
I do know lots of wonderful Catholic Christians who believe the Bible and worship Jesus/God/Spirit faithfully, but based on their actions, I truly do not believe that many of the leaders of the Catholic Church are Christians at all. For their sake, I hope I am wrong.

I'd also love to be able to link a comment to a link/relationship arrow where I could comment on why I think the order is what it is or why I think to verses are parallel verses of the same event and other considerations. I think that the UAP is a setup that will be used to explain away the rapture so people don't instantly realize the Bible was right. I always wondered how the world would continue rejecting God when millions of Christians suddenly disappeared just as the Bible predicted. They will sat aliens removed the problem humans and everyone left are the chosen. People will eat it up.
UAPs aren't extraterrestrial in nature, they are extra-dimensional and demonic, that is why they can do things that don't make sense with known physics.

2025-03-26 20:07:06 UTC

Sadly, there will be a lot of people that think they will be part of the rapture that won't. You don't earn it by doing the right thing or knowing the right information. It is solely based on a full and complete trust in Jesus as savior along with repentance and submission to Jesus as Lord of all.
I agree that the pole has been shifting (I didn't watch the video because it is youtube and I don't use youtube on this browser), so I can't say for sure when it will happen. I do know, however, that Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled, so our time is short, but I can't say if that means days, weeks, months, or years till the rapture & tribulation. I truly doubt it is decades, but I won't be dogmatic about that.

Although I think we can and should learn from all of the Bible, when someone is just starting to read the Bible for the first time, I now recommend skipping all or all but one of Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy because so many people give up in these difficult, detailed books. They also mean more after reading the whole Bible. They can be read the second time around or each time a person reads the Bible through, they read only one of them and rotate through them. I try to read the Bible through every year, so that would mean reading them each every three years. I don't mind them as much as I used to and now see some things that I didn't see before in the genealogies, ceremonies, and exhaustive details of design.
I used to think the New Testament was more important, so I would read the whole Bible, then read the New Testament, then read the whole Bible again. Now I think the Old Testament is the foundation needed to fully understand the New Testament and the New Testament is the fulfillment and clarification of the Old Testament, so they are equally important for our understanding of God and Salvation.

The evidence does not lead to a conclusion of millions of years of evolution and evolution from apes to humans. That conclusion is only reached with circular reasoning and a starting assumption that there is no God. Below I'll show just one example of evidence matching the Bible instead of the erroneous scientific consensus.
One example that reality fits the Biblical account is looking at DNA. When looking at how many mutations occurr on the Y chromosome (males) every generation, this leads to an initial & chromosome 4500-5000 years ago. When looking at DNA mutations on the mitochondrial DNA (females) it leads to an initial mitochondrial DNA 6000-7000 years ago. How can that be? Didn't human men and women come into being at the same time?Yes, according to the Bible, the first man and woman, Adam & Eve, were created approximately 6,000 years ago, but approximately 4,500 years ago, He destroyed the world in a global flood. The survivors were Noah and His 3 sons, Noah's wife, and his 3 son's wives. Noah and his 3 sons would have almost identical Y chromosomes, being the starting Y chromosomes predicted. The 4 unrelated women would then be tracked back to Eve approximately 6,000 years before. The evidence makes no sense until you match it to the Bible and it matches perfectly.
I could go on and on, but don't have time right now.

It breaks my heart how many Christians have never read the whole Bible. These people say they want to follow, obey, and become more like Jesus and yet they won't find the time to read His word to find out what He says about Himself, us, and how to follow Him. Godly men were willing to lose everything, including their lives, to copy and translate the Bible so we could buy it and have it available to us and we refuse to make use of this blessing.
