Do you want to contribute to @npub1nvf…cpws but don't know where to start? [@jdm_](https://mastodon.social/@jdm_ ) filed some great starter issues to get going on. Find the list with detailed descriptions on what to do at https://starters.servo.org/

this is being discussed in https://servo.zulipchat.com/#narrow/channel/500774-tsc/topic/MacOS.20self-hosted.20runners/with/628102831 Feel free to join the discussion with suggestions, thanks!

@npub1nvf…cpws is currently experiencing luxury problems: because of so many new contributors helping out, our CI time has increased significantly. Before we could merge within 45 minutes, now the average is 3,5 hours.
Based on our analysis, the MacOS runners are the bottleneck. To add more of these runners, extra funding is needed.
If you want to help out Servo, consider donating at https://opencollective.com/servo so we can improve our CI time. Thanks everyone for their interest in the project!

Today I posted my message to the Mockito community (https://github.com/mockito/mockito/issues/3777) announcing this change. It feels uneasy to let a project such as Mockito go, unknowing how the project evolves. But I am hopeful that some other souls in this world will pick up and continue dedicating their volunteering time to an open source project such as Mockito. If anything, it would benefit today's world if more folks would do volunteering work and help society forward.

Mockito has been an integral part of my software engineering career up to this point and it feels bittersweet to say goodbye. While I never got paid for my volunteering work (I also never wanted to, since then it would start to feel like actual work), it gave me loads of attention and recognition across the industry. Mockito undoubtedly has helped me shape as an engineer and gained valuable experience along the way.

In March 2026, I will be Mockito maintainer for 10 years (nearly a third of my whole life). Looking ahead, I decided that a decade milestone is a good moment to pass on maintainership to other folks.
