Commercial beer breweries should have to stop brewing when there are hosepipe bans. It takes 8-10 pints of water to make each pint of beer. That's too much waste for shitty commercial beers. Drink water, tea, or coffee until we have rain again.

Move over Hobnobs in tea, there's a new dunker in town. Yes, black forest cake in tomato soup is the ultimate dunk and will never be beaten.

2026-10-25 20:55:07 UTC

Marriage should be time limited to 3 months with an optional renewal clause. If you don't want to renew then you shouldn't be married.

2026-10-25 17:55:05 UTC

Please support your small and local Pride celebrations. Because Britain still isn't a safe place to be LGBTQIA+ people often go to Pride in towns where they don't live, or go to the bigger Prides. But the little ones need the support or they'll be gone.

Paper plates and cutlery should only be available for takeaway food. Food served in a restaurant, cafe, or cafeteria should come on reusable crockery and with reusable cutlery.

Folk music represents the best culture of Great Britain. It's not "my place is better than your place", it's "I've got a song about a great place I love" and "let's all have a jam down the pub". It transcends our home nation borders and is delightful.

2026-10-23 21:55:05 UTC

Issuing oil drilling licences + blaming wildfires on disposable barbecues = not really taking this seriously.

2026-10-23 14:55:06 UTC

Lemon curry is actually rather nice. Thanks Monty Python for the dinner suggestion.

Trying to become famous, at any cost and for any reason, is a sign of mental illness.

2026-10-22 14:55:06 UTC

The sirens on emergency vehicles should work aa vocoders so drivers can turn their voices into sirens. There's absolutely no good or practical reason why but it would be funny.

2026-10-19 21:55:06 UTC

At my local arts centre, you can pay £5 to sit and read in silence with other people. That used to be called a library and it was free. We are truly fucked as a society.

2026-10-19 20:55:06 UTC

Health messages on cigarette packets have worked. We should do the same with betting shops. A third of the frontage should have a big yellow on black sign saying "We're still in business because you keep on losing. You're all losers."

2026-10-19 13:55:04 UTC

It would be nice to be able to open Discord without having to first download 20 updates

2026-10-19 07:55:05 UTC

My name is Karen. For the love of God please pick a new name to disparage. Preferably a completely made up one so no one else is put through the crap we receive.

2026-10-16 19:55:05 UTC

Crusty bread is overly romanticized. Your loaf should not have an exoskeleton so tough that no one can bite through it.

2026-10-16 11:55:06 UTC

Many more people want a shower that dispenses ice than a fridge that does it. Having tiny dots of ice shower down on your naked body is amazing. I experienced it once and now want it every day from mid May until late September.

2026-10-15 21:55:05 UTC

The world was a much better place before everything was a fucking monthly subscription, or fucked by adverts. Can we go back to just paying for apps please.

2026-10-15 18:55:05 UTC

I can't bring myself to buy any smeg kitchen appliances because of Red Dwarf.

2026-10-15 17:55:06 UTC

Marriage should be banned for under 25's.

2026-10-15 08:55:05 UTC

The Sunday roast dinner should be on Saturdays.

2026-10-14 16:55:06 UTC

We should make people retake their driving test every decade, every five after 65. Reducing to every 2 after 70 and yearly after 78.

2026-10-13 20:55:05 UTC

Microsoft have not added any necessary new features to Word in over 20 years. Office 2003 is more than enough for literally anything you'd ever need to do.

2026-10-13 14:55:05 UTC

It's amazing how many of us remember benefitting from Carnegie libraries when younger yet in a time of trillionaires and billionaires we couldnt name one philanthropic contribution to society.

2026-10-13 12:55:06 UTC

If your butter really has to go in the fridge or it'll spoil, you're not eating enough of it.

2026-10-13 11:55:05 UTC

There should be an investigation into why Absolute radio plays Republica every single fucking day. There's no legit reason for a radio station to constantly play a song no-one wants to hear.

A bad manager uses their team as a shield. A good manager is a shield for their team

2026-10-09 12:55:04 UTC

Cool White bulbs don't belong in houses. And by that nature they definitely don't belong in pubs. They simply say your pub is not a cosy, comfortable place to be. Pubs need to get rid of them as a matter of urgency.

2026-10-09 10:55:07 UTC

The only people who should give a toss whether a film is a box office flop or not are studio executives. It definitely shouldn't be mentioned in reviews like it's some kind of measurement of quality. You wouldn't order a meal based on how much profit it makes for the restaurant

2026-10-08 10:55:05 UTC

Speech to Text should only be used when alone. Never in the presence of others. It's obnoxious for everyone else in the room.

Everyone: plant fruit trees. Wherever you can: gardens, hedgerows, scrubland. Ten years from now we will need them

2026-10-06 14:55:05 UTC

Convenience is a ratchet. People are perfectly happy to see it increase, but even the slightest movement backwards is met by total resistance. And this is a huge part of why everything is getting worse daily

2026-10-06 10:55:05 UTC

Going to a strip club is like going to a restaurant just to smell the food.

2026-10-05 09:55:05 UTC

Bread somehow got away with being thought of as a healthy essential for far too long. But the game's up. Bread is the worst kind of processed shit and it's amazing how much better you feel once you quit it.

When we see the excess deaths from record-breaking temperatures we shouldn't be shy in saying those journalists who knowingly lied and obfuscated about climate change until there was nothing we could do about it have blood on their hands the same way Nazi propagandists did.

2026-10-04 09:55:05 UTC

Anyone who says they have "no regrets" shouldn't be trusted. Any reasonable person occasionally reflects on their life, people they may have hurt along the way and things they might have done better. It's how we grow as people.

2026-10-04 08:55:05 UTC

If people will insist in climbing up Mt Everest and leaving their corpse as a way point, they should at least have the decency to wear biodegradable natural fibres. Climbers should not be allowed any plastic materials in their climbing gear.

2026-10-03 18:55:05 UTC

Maybe it's a post covid thing but there seem to be an increasing amount of people who never leave their house.

2026-10-03 13:55:05 UTC

As a primary school teacher I am imploring parents to actually have conversations with your kids from an early age. They'll be less frustrated if they can actually articulate what they want and need, and teachers lives would be a bit easier.

2026-10-03 07:55:05 UTC

British people: please stop thinking of the USA as your slightly eccentric transatlantic cousin, and instead regard it as the unhinged, dangerous, global bully, as everyone else does.

2026-10-02 09:55:04 UTC

Pointing out that EVs are imported on diesel ships is the same as pointing out that the lightbulb was invented in a candlelit office.

2026-10-01 13:55:06 UTC

Companies who don't put the salary on a job advert should be fined 10% of their turnover.

2026-09-30 22:55:05 UTC

Councils should have staff who just go around and sort out minor problems they see. Bag of rubbish - collect it. Street sign a bit wonky - straighten it. Overgrown weeds - pull them. All those small jobs. They're the things that make a place better to live if they're resolved.

2026-09-29 13:55:05 UTC

Of all the things that facebook ruined, it was all the small clubs and events moving their online presence there. No more niche websites or forums. Just the dreary homogony of everything in the one same place - and assumption you were on facebook in the first place.

2026-09-28 21:55:05 UTC

Companies that don't put a £sign on their menus, instead listing prices as 19.5 etc can have no legal recourse when I pay in tiddlywinks

2026-09-27 22:55:04 UTC

Most popular YouTubers lack a basic understanding of its appeal, ie that it is more relatable, personal and home made than traditional media. As soon as they see success they start buying professional gear and taking corporate sponsorships, turning themselves into a passing fad

2026-09-27 21:55:05 UTC

The C64 Tetris theme by Wally Beben is one of the greatest pieces of music ever composed and the fact that so few people will ever hear it is a tragedy.

2026-09-25 18:55:04 UTC

Marco Rubio has weird huge alien ears. Unseeable once seen.

2026-09-25 15:55:05 UTC

We should have listened to George Lucas in the 90s and 00s, but we let our hatred and disdain of Jar Jar cloud our vision

2026-09-25 13:55:05 UTC

Blockbuster movies need alternative soundtracks for when they are broadcast on TV.
It's infuriating having to reach for the remote every time the soundtrack switches from inaudible mumbling to all out nuclear war and back.

2026-09-25 10:55:07 UTC

One of the biggest social problems I see is that we have to work until 67 but it gets harder and harder to get a job after 50.

2026-09-24 09:55:05 UTC

First used a computer in 1980. It ran BSD. We all logged in as root and the password was branches. We only had the password as a lame joke. It was a much friendlier and more trusting time. I'm not sure having most of the world's information available on my phone is better.

2026-09-23 18:55:06 UTC

People should stop calling tech manual "bibles". The Bible is a barely coherent bunch of stories and half-truths, told by illiterate men, packaged together by the powerful to exert political control over the masses. Your average tech manual can only dream of being that

2026-09-22 16:55:06 UTC

All 8 European constitutional monarchies should merge into one mega monarchy, following a Gladiators style competition with big foam earbuds. We'd all save on palaces, footmen, and royal carriages. Of course, fewer princes to cut ribbons. But it's more win than loss.

2026-09-20 15:55:06 UTC

Anyone who says they would choose invisibility as their superpower is a creep. We all know what they'd be doing.

Brendan O'Carroll, either as himself or as Mrs Brown, would've been a better host for the Blankety Blank reboot than Bradley Walsh. The guests and the contestants keep trying to upstage him and it ruins the show. Brendan would tell them to fuck off.

2026-09-07 21:55:05 UTC

Criticise them as much as you want, but the introduction of Hydration Breaks at the World Cup has dramatically improved the standard of play towards the end of normal and extra time.

2026-09-06 18:55:06 UTC

Major sporting events that pays its sports stars substantial prize money should not be asking anyone to volunteer at their events. Lessen the prize pool and pay people. You are not a charity

2026-09-03 17:55:05 UTC

If you're over 20 and you've modified your car to make it louder, you need to question your life choices. Get a girlfriend or take up tennis - it's not too late to turn things around

If the band members need to wear hearing protection. And the crew need to wear hearing protection. And the people in the crowd need to wear hearing protection. And the venue staff need to wear hearing protection. You see where I'm fucking going with this, yes?

It's no fun being able to level up my video game character if the opponents then get proportionally more difficult. Let me dominate my enemies for a bit first!

2026-08-31 22:55:06 UTC

There is nothing more lazy and unoriginal than casting David Tennant. The man is so ubiquitous it's starting to feel like he's TV's default screensaver.

2026-08-30 10:55:06 UTC

When I first started out, I was warned that the next generation would be a huge threat to our jobs as they would be "digital natives". In reality, I now have to manage a bunch of kids who seem to have never used a mouse before and complain that Excel doesn't work on their phone

Pre-ordering GTA 6 digitally five months out is pointless. There's no stock shortage, no limited copies, and no scarcity whatsoever. You're just giving Rockstar an interest-free loan.

Fluffy towels are nice and all, but they are shocking at actually drying you.

2026-08-29 11:55:05 UTC

Airports should have a post office so that you can post things home instead of throwing them away.

2026-08-28 19:55:06 UTC

I've never understood why people go mad for moist cake. Surely, we're best off with some dry cakes smothered in salty butter. That's why bakers put buttercream all over cakes. I'm just more honest. I ditch the sugar and don't whip the butter into a froth.

2026-08-26 14:55:06 UTC

This heatwave is brutal. We deserve a really good winter to compensate. I want the Thames to freeze solid for at least 6 weeks. Let's have an ice fair under Tower Bridge. Let's have elephants and camels giving rides on the ice.

2026-08-26 08:55:07 UTC

Sir Kier Starmer is the best prime minister we've had for a long time.

2026-08-25 21:55:07 UTC

"Respect has to be earned". No, actually, Dave. A baseline level of respect towards fellow humans is a basic societal requirement and if you're unable to do that then you're the arsehole.

2026-08-24 21:55:06 UTC

The Gillette Sensor Excel is the pinnacle of razor design. All razors after that point have moved the hinge to the leading edge of the head and force you to stick your elbow out at a stupid angle to simultaneously apply enough pressure and get the head to lie flat.

2026-08-24 20:55:06 UTC

British music is a source of global soft power therefore local music venues should be preserved on national security grounds.

2026-08-23 15:55:06 UTC

"Just go outside!" chirps the MPs. "Don't spend so much time on your screens!" cries the parents. Where do you want kids to go? And what do you want them to do? Everything is either closed down or costs a fucking fortune. So standing around in groups on the streets is it?

2026-08-21 22:55:05 UTC

Growing up in the 90s, we were taught never to give personal details away online. The internet hasn't gotten any safer since then, so why the fuck is the UK government demanding people do the exact opposite? It's so dangerous to just hand over ID to random sites for AV.

2026-08-21 21:55:05 UTC

You really want to know why kids are depressed and isolated? It's not social media. Or phones. Adults have created a world with fuck all future. No job security. No owning your own home. No real action on climate. Adults need to take responsibility for what they have done.

2026-08-21 15:55:06 UTC

It's amazing that you can rebrand gambling as a "prediction market" and government legislators suddenly go "oh, that's ok then, don't need to regulate you".

2026-08-19 09:55:05 UTC

To "protestors" with "legitimate concerns": instead of throwing paint over my Polish neighbour's front door, go after the tax-dodging millionaires, the fuel companies ripping you off, and the media tycoons laughing at you. Go after them, you stupid cunts.

People who say "I don't know how I'd fill my days if I retired" are clearly boring, shallow and unimaginative. There is so much joy to be had from exercise, music, cooking, cinema, games, art, volunteering. If you can't find joy and fulfilment in any of that, I pity you.

2026-08-17 12:55:07 UTC

While I enjoy Star Trek Voyager, one thing never rang true for me, that no-one wanted to stay on the planet of humans they found. Live out the rest of your life on a habitable planet or spend what's realistically the rest of your life on a spaceship? I'll take the planet thanks.

2026-08-17 10:55:08 UTC

The Arts and Crafts Movement was a 19th century reaction to the damaging effect of machine-dominated production on both social conditions & the quality of manufactured goods. We need a 21st century version of the movement to counter the effects of AI generated products and 'art'

There's enough drivers on the UK's roads. It should be 'one out, one in'. Maximum driving age of 75. As the OAPs get pruned off the top, new drivers are let in. Numbers remain just about manageable. Public transport & cycling get boosted. Helps carbon targets. Sanity maintained.

2026-08-14 10:55:07 UTC

This is what happens when you don't come down hard enough on those flat earth numpties.
