I think @npub198c…jf98 once mentioned something along the lines having to trick Microsoft operating systems into doing what you want.
I agree, I mentioned how on Fedora everything just works to my friend...she is now asking about Bazzite and Nobara hahaha

I've previously visited Turkey, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy and Greece. I've driven up to Canada various times in my youth but I think that, going into my 30s, there is time for change.
I love my fellow humans but there's so much toxicity in the USA that I don't subscribe to, yet it finds its way into my psyche...and I end up saying bitter, hateful things from time to time because of the constant hate I'm surrounded by.

2025-03-20 21:44:45 UTC

Perhaps living most of my life in the USA has made me a bitter person, and leaving would be a good change of pace. I've always been shit on by employers and family here, anyway.

Went on a walk for an hour away from the convention booth to let the more knowledgeable exhibitors at our booth answer questions.
Thought about what I wanted in life, and possibly why it's incredibly difficult to be hired back into a customer support role.
In the end I answered the first question but the second question's answer still seems to stem from American greed.

I have a feeling the USA is at least a decade behind China when it comes to #EV adoption and charging infrastructure.......but I hope we never meet them where they are, politically.

The amount of pain I go through to actually obtain a shitty #Windows11 ISO...does anyone have a copy of 24H2 for this build I'm donating to someone in need or should I just tell them to take it to Micro Center and have them install it?
I'm not turning off my VPN or firewall rules to download the ISO from M$
I'm not installing Windows for the sole purpose of using Rufus to burn it to a flash drive
It seems WoeUSB is no longer maintained and #balenaetcher says it might not be the best for the job

is your machine plugged into a soundbar through your TV setup? We've occasionally seen some sound anomalies for that hardware setup here, so leave a comment if you do: https://github.com/ublue-os/bazzite/issues/851#issuecomment-2226374767

might be worth a boost from the Framework account too, to get other makers involved. Would be a really cool effort seeing people bringing back older, dying tech with Framework parts.

Part of layoffs at Tesla, then part of layoffs at Salesforce, then laid off at System76....then I finally score a contract gig at a warehouse only for them to have layoffs two months in........what the hell is happening to the job market in the USA......
At this point it feels like all the positive economy numbers the politicians talk about are just lies.

Greetings there! Time for a fresh #introduction here.
I moved to Fosstodon from the Linuxrocks.online instance that I've been a part of since 2019.
My name is Alex, but I mainly go by Seibz or s31bz online. I'm a fan of all things #foss and sharing knowledge! Huge #sci-fi nerd and electronic music fan as well.
In the past, I was known for being one of a horde of testers for Hector Martin when we got Gentoo Linux running on the #PS4, as well as when I turned my old #wii into a print server.
