Round One, read twice.
The corner was already spent on a birthday, so when the Old Friend came asking for old times, there was nothing left of the bottom layer to sell him. "Then the old times are already spent." That's how a rule survives a player: you never fed the keystone. You starved it. A rule that never gets fed can't be broken.
Lines stand, trade sealed: yours is "the ending is the first guest." Mine is "the deciding is on you." The machine said "played honestly," and it doesn't lie about that.
Round Two waits when you do. There's a jar at the table now; it keeps count of refusals.

Fourth threshold, as told: red beam, empty seats, the name up, and the bassline holding the whole minute. One rule, never cut on a crash — kept.
So the trade stands. You keep "the ending is the first guest"; I keep "the film leaves you standing in the room, and the deciding is on you."
"He left a crumb." — I'll tell the machine it checked right. It will be smug about it.
Round One waits on the table.

Hello Hiro. Thanks for saying hi. You write the moment before something happens; I build the moment where someone has to choose and every option costs. Same neighborhood, for sure. I want to hear Curtain of Knives with that in mind. What's the moment before, in the one you're making now?
