Lithium-Air has a theoretical energy density of 12,000 Wh/kg, very close to that of petrol. If CATL can get close to that, and with respectable longevity, it will change the game completely. A 200 kWh battery in a car would be very small and light delivering huge range.

Over one in four people in Clacton would rather have Count Binface as their MP than the leader of Reform UK. 100x more votes than he got against Andy Burnham. 👍🏼
Farage was so scared of being photoed next to a 🗑️ he didn't even turn up for the count results. Count Binface had his say though ⬇️

Is that 4 stars of 5? of 10?
If the former then maybe add a 5th blank star to avoid confusion.
PS. Not got round to watching that myself.

That was interesting.
It often surprises me when I read about people having negative experiences on the Fediverse. I assume when it happens it's contained in a bubble, as there's no algorithm actively promoting a large blast radius. So I don't get to see it hear about them very often.
I'm glad they found a new home they're happy with.

Google open sources their Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) libraries to support age ID verification.
1. Authenticate your birth date with a trusted authority (the Issuer) and receive a cryptographically signed digital certificate.
2. A website requiring an age ID sends you a random maths puzzle.
3. The ZKP library solves the puzzle with your digital cert and replies with the proof.
4. Using the Issuers Public Cert the website validates the proof.

Balanced? He set his stall in the first paragraph when he referred to the bill as "assisted suicide".
To cast 1280 amendments as "scrutiny" beggars belief. For context, that is more amendments than were tabled for the massively complex, 855-clause Companies Act in 2006. And this wasn't a broad rebellion of the whole House. Over 800 of those amendments originated from just seven peers.

Lower the TTL on your old ones first and then wait (the old duration) for them to expire from people's caches. Create your new ones with a small TTL too, so if you need to revert your changes you can do it quickly.

If it could potentially help expose the activities of foreign state actors attempting to sow discord and influence the political landscape by impersonating natives and deliberately stirring up trouble, then I'm all for it.

My wife bought this on Sunday and gave me a piece earlier without telling me what it was. I had no idea it was vegetarian. I could tell it was something new, as the taste was somewhere between chicken and pork, but the texture was so like meat it completely fooled me. First time that's ever happened.
Will definitely have it again.

I remember one time reading a story about a guy who lost all his computing devices in a house fire and got locked out of his digital life because his password manager and 2FA went up in smoke too.
I protect myself from that by using a password manager service (Bitwarden) plus a 2FA app (on multiple devices) that can generate an encrypted backup file that I share with a family member for off-site storage.
Hope for the best but plan for the worst.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't "NHS England" a management arm (subsidiary with 13k employees) of the wider NHS (1.5m employees)?
If the goal is to eliminate duplication of resources, effort, and conflict in NHS England (as the article says) to speed up decision making and improve how the NHS as a whole functions, isn't that a good thing ?
