I get what you are saying. But in this context this is kind of like a “dad joke.” Do we think being pedantic about the terminology is really reinforcing some kind of negative gender stereotype here? Or minimizing the working class?

Do they return the device afterwards like “oh well, here ya go then” durp durp. Or do they keep it “for evidence” out of spite?

Oh shit, my bad. Was reading too fast.
But still, the image should load from your local instance right? So in that commenters case, lemmy.world right?
Edit: at least on my instance, it appears to go through a proxy on my local instance:
```
https://images.lemmy.zip/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmings.world%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2F3b9a4c4b-3079-4e67-a5e2-0cd49074d81f.png
```
Do some other instances direct link images?

Images should load from your local Lemmy instance right?
But checking now I see you, OP and the com are all from the same instance. So I’m confused.

> How hard would have been for one of them to just go shopping and get there first to set up?
I get if they want to be rich assholes and not do this themselves.
But then you hire some kind of assistant to do this for you. You don’t ask the fucking AirBnb hosts to do it. Lol I would cancel their shit so fast. But this is a joke, as no one could possibly be this stupid.
