So, there's a guy around here who used to sell kestrel boxes for orchards. He explained they needed regular maintenance, so he designed them to be very secure on their mounts (usually a pole like that) but also so they could be lowered to be cleaned and repaired.
Just a box on a pole? I'm not sure how you deal with that.
