This is one of the reasons I push through my more "negative" obsessions sometimes. Often within there is a buried "positive" that I didn't know I needed to get to.
My extreme reaction to this film tells me something: I have far more interest in The Odyssey, a work I haven't read since college, than I realized, which in turn tells me I should get my hands on a fresh new translation that will probably feel a lot more immediate than the slightly stuffy translations I've read.
