⚡️🇻🇪 NEW - Venezuelan acting President Delcy Rodríguez said the government will offer "non-essential" state assets to private investors or return them to their former owners, reversing nationalizations carried out under Hugo Chávez.

The process "is already well advanced," Rodríguez said in a televised address Thursday, without naming which assets. A commission she appointed in April is auditing state holdings in energy, power and mining. Parliament is close to partially privatizing the electricity sector, foreign firms are in talks to buy the country's largest aluminum smelter, and an oil consortium is seeking several industrial plants, Venezuelanalysis reported.
