AI is incredibly cool and useful, but it will likely erode what’s left of our ability to think independently.

In 20 or 30 years, our writing skills will decline drastically since AI will proofread everything. The same applies to programming and other tasks that require real cognitive effort.

We’ll end up outsourcing our brains to AI, whether we like it or not.

And what happens when three companies control the most powerful AI systems, and by extension, our thinking?

It’s a slippery slope we can clearly see, yet seem unable to avoid.
