I guess my question for them is: do you think audiences should tell filmmakers what their movie should be about, how the story should be told, & what it should contain?
Or are filmmakers allowed to make films & then say "Here's what I made. I hope you like it"?
Like, is a film a product that is supposed to give you exactly "what you paid for" or is it a creative work to be received & experienced for what it is?
