Plenty of stuff could and should be improved in the broader Linux ecosystem, no question about it.

Still, Microsoft pushed an update that was not supposed to apply to dual-boot systems, but did – and created a huge issue for a lot of Linux users.

I am not saying this was done on purpose. But I am saying Microsoft deserves boatloads of flak for this outcome, due to their position and power in the OS market, and their past approach to independent operating systems.
