Alright #BikeTooter #BikeNerds .. my wife has acquired an old Novara Randonee (from the 2010s) to replace her even older Cannondale (from the 1990s). The Randonee's drivetrain needs replacing; it's currently a 3x9 11-34T in back and 26-36-48 in front. She wants more granny gear and claims not to care much about higher gears.*
Since I'm replacing everything it's a good time to switch to, say, 2x11 or 1x12 or maybe even 3x8 (for chain compatibility with my other bikes). I'm very torn.
