Happens with every automated industry. And it isn’t “this thing can do your job”, it is “we will accept the clearly worse job this thing does more cheaply”.

It’s always a race to the barely acceptable under capitalism.

It’s why our clothes are cheap and fall apart in weeks. Why our furniture is cheap and doesn’t last. Etc.

Whatever people will accept as good enough for now and not mind paying for the same thing again later.
