It's maybe the most damaging thing that's happened. But it's not like there's no lesson to learn and it's now a lost cause... It's crystallised the right way to set up a wallet. I think K.I.S.S. comes to mind for wallet design and trust too.

IF people use an exchange, how did they generate and store the keys? Not self-custodying is hardly saving you from the risks.
