Yesterday we saw a Kestrel shooting through the garden at high speed, a second after the female Bluebird flew off. Haven't seen her since, and the male keeps calling her. No answer.
He is still bringing food and taking the "diapers" out of the box. I hope he can keep it up for another day or so. The young ones should be leaving the box any day.
Sad. But that's life: the Kestrel has young to feed too.
