Since 1945 (probably before), the US only bombs or invades countries if there's something to gain. The idea that it expends billions of dollars and the lives of its children for altruistic reasons is laughable.
I spent some time wondering what the Vietnam war was about. Because it had exactly nothing to do with protecting poor brown people from Communism.
Then I realised. Opium.
After the Soviets left Afghanistan and the Taliban took over, they stopped the growing of poppies there. When the US used 9/11 as a pretext for invading everybody but those most responsible, poppy growing resumed in Afghanistan. Again, opium.
My point?
This bombing of so-called "drug boats" off Venezuela is clearly bullshit.
It's about American owned oil that somehow ended up under Venezuela.
They wonder why they're despised.
