Yeah… I don’t see that happening, because the corporate landscape of Alberta is so heavily dominated by oil and gas… and for the O&G sector, corrupt authoritarian governments are old hat, and if they well and truly captured by the industry (as AB is) are often preferable to proper democracy because of all the concessions possible in environmental protections, the ability to exploit the workforce, and ease of extracting and off-shoring profits.
