The outbox model works, and it works really well.
More sync tests from the upcoming version of applesauce, first one tries to connect to all my contacts relays ( 165 ) and gets ~1900 events in 34s. the second connects to the 30 most common and gets ~1700 events in 18s.
Both syncs are for loading all events your contacts have posted in the last 24 hours, so plenty of content for a normal nostr client. ( it also helps that nostr is slowing down so there is less content to load )

Fresh off the presses: I wrote a new personal relay implementation that will fix nostr.

Instead of syncing notes from your web of trust (expensive, no one is looking for them there) or blasting notes to the network (pointless, borderline abusive), it looks for your outbox relays and fetches your notes from them. This means that after years of home relay fragmentation you can finally get all your notes in one place. Even better, if you run two instances they will actively copy your notes between them without any configuration other than a normal 10002.

Use the outbox model. It works.
