Hamilton holds a letter from a friend of her son, Clifford, that details how her son died during battle in France. The government can't find the grave of her son and so it has denied Mrs. Hamilton of St. Louis Park a trip to France. She has appealed to the Veterans of Foreign Wars to plead her desire before Congress to travel to France with the other gold star mothers.
