I watched that M. Night movie last night on Netflix, Knock at the Cabin or whatever, and I can't stop thinking about how horrible its messages were on so many levels, and how much potential it had to thoughtfully explore some timely topics.

It dealt with a cosmic trolley problem, apocalyptic themes, and faith vs doubt vs delusion in absence of evidence when the stakes are high.

It was bad in a "but it could have been so good" way that is sticking with me.

Overall it ended up feeling like one of those media illiterate Christian horror movies that happened to have a media literate director who wanted to make it a little bit marketable.
