My dream CI setup for testing, linting, static sites, etc. would be:
- Have dependencies declaratively pre-built so I don't have to wait for apt-get to finish every freakin time. Nix does a poor job of this because I don't want to wait for nixpkgs to evaluate every freakin time.
- Be tied to a single machine with intermediate results locally cached
- Operate on the *diff* of a commit, so it didn't even need to look at files that didn't change and could pull their compilation results from cache
