"content": "I want to make a longer post about this phenomenon at some point, probably too long for the Fedi, something for a Substack perhaps. This phenomenon has been bugging me for a long while every time I observe it. There is something to be said about the modern hatred of explicitly Christian media, especially with Christians taking media or stories often seen as explicitly non-Christian or anti-Christian and using it for explicitly Christian purposes. Most statements or depictions of this distastes is always not done in sincere criticism with a sound aesthetics. Often, the person just hates Christ, Christianity, Christians, and any attempt for the three to invade and conquer a previously non-Christian space. It's the cute aggression for the spiritually dead.\n\nAnd I do mean modern. This disdain and disgust had not been commonly shared until after WWII, and often later than that in various places within the West.\n\nThat being said, as of ONLY right now, much, though perhaps not most, Christian art, crafts, and media are not good. It has not always been like that. It will not always be like this, even this side of eternity. One of the issues is that many Christian artists founds their aesthetic decisions to worldly aesthetics, as well as the poor subjective standards of the creator himself, often leading to kitsch. Another issue is a theme you have probably have seen among my posts. Protestantism had not purged and purified the true visible Church of the false theology and philosophies from Rome and the East, leading to a warped view of things like joy, fun, sex, the body, lust, desire, and much more. This carried over into the art world, though thankfully not fully or consistently. One final major issue we can point at is a more modern problem that coincides the rise of this phenomenon. Both Western secular arts and Western Christian arts have become disturbingly deracinated and detached from the land a Western creator arose from. I cannot explain this succinctly in a couple of paragraphs, but art ought to have particular marks of particular people while abiding in the universal and absolute values of Christ.\n\nStill, that does not change that most Western people living in the West are spiritual dead. They are denizens of the kingdom of darkness and will naturally react with revulsion to any of \"their things\" being taken and used for their enemy God, His Christ, and His children.\n\nhttps://i.poastcdn.org/d7/ed/79/d7ed798974deb9fdb0b65f6f295ffc493b6a4c7217db9a02f376ed5969616904.png\nhttps://i.poastcdn.org/d4/98/d8/d498d81e92e4210f5ff1391c8941a4dc11414e2396c77bec3da1c7a637a6718a.png",
