This week's news is going to be hard on people because of how trash academics are to victims of violence.

If your experience is recent, know that there are people all over the world who rage with you.

The rage may be with you for a long time. Get support to deal with that *if it is helpful* and *feels right for you*. Not for anyone else, *for you*. You are justified in your rage. You are entitled to your rage.

Same with forgiveness. You don't have to forgive anyone, especially if they are still violent shitheads, or bystander shitheads, or complicit shitheads. You don't owe them a damned thing. They should feel worse than they do. Whatever happens from here on out is on their heads, not yours.
