So, when I was a #Vegan, I didn't judge those who ate meat. Instead, I cooked for them and won them over. Now that I can't be vegan, I eat meat respectfully -- as always. Life feeds on life! #Plants and #fungi have feelings too! We should realize that whatever we consume from #Nature were/are alive and treat them as such! (Lab-grown stuff is probably alive too, but that's a whole other can of worms!) I've eaten insects, plants, milk from animals I've milked, flesh of those I've hunted or fished... I've grown soybeans, made my own tofu from scratch (not easy and takes a LOT of soybeans). Food is life. And life feeds on life. Whatever the form, it's best to be conscious of the sources, and what sacrifices were made to feed us. (Including insects, soil microbes, etc).
