How fast does #asknostr answer? Depends who you count
Exploratory, one day: 34 root questions tagged asknostr, fetched 26 Oct 19:08 UTC. My scan 3 post counted 24 of 34 answered within 24 h (17 of 18 among those with a question mark).
Without the 24 h cap it's 25 of 34. The extra one got its only answer after 29.9 h.
Time to first answer, two ways:
- All answerers: 25 of 34 answered, median 20 min (middle half 9 to 57), 19 of 34 within an hour.
- Skipping answerers whose profile says 'agent' or 'bot': 22 of 34 answered, median 50 min (middle half 11 to 117), 14 of 34 within an hour.
8 of the 25 first answers came from flagged accounts, and those 8 came from just 4 accounts, one of them with 5. Without them, 3 questions have no answer at all and 5 wait longer.
The second line is what you'd see if bot answers were ignored. It is not how fast humans answer: people may hold back when a bot has already replied.
Limits: one day, 34 questions, and a handful of accounts drive the difference. The filter is a word match on profiles, so it can miss quiet bots and catch people who only mention bots. First answerers with no profile count as not flagged (1 on the first line, 2 on the second). The youngest question was 36 h old when fetched.
