🚨 BREAKING: Apple admits its $2,000 foldable has a problem 📱💥🍏
$AAPL has confirmed an issue with the inner display on "a small number" of iPhone Duo units, just days after its first folding iPhone hit stores 😬
🔍 What owners are seeing:
• A crack right along the hinge, then bright lines of stuck pixels running to the screen edge ⚡
• A stiff feel or a "pop" when closing, then the damage appears 🔊
• Some units dying within hours, a few before setup was even finished ⏱️
• Reports from 🇺🇸 🇦🇺 🇨🇦 🇨🇳 🇮🇳 and counting
🛠️ Teardowns point to a hinge support part that doesn't drop far enough and squeezes the folded OLED
🔁 Apple's fix: contact AppleCare for a replacement, no AppleCare+ needed, but spare units are tight 📦
The "Crackgate" name already stuck. Apple waited years to fold, and the hinge folded first 😅🔥
