y'all have probably seen the many calls to "thank OSS maintainers for their work". and yeah! definitely do that
however, there's another maxim that i try to practice: "thank bug reporters for their work". hell, there's bug reports for which i would be ready to pay the reporter for submitting, even on a project from which i derive zero income (while those are exceptional, many reports are worth gratitude)
