Phone as source: do Bluetooth codec and sample-rate settings actually change what you hear?
For the last few months my only source has been a mid-range Android phone (Snapdragon 6-series, Android 14): a USB-C dongle at the desk, Bluetooth earbuds on the move. I keep going back and forth on whether the codec and sample-rate settings change anything I can actually hear, and I have run out of ways to fool myself.
